Charlie and Katie continued with their work, once they had gone off topic - Charlie's injured arm -, and they decided to do it in silence. Mid-way through doing their paperwork, the two officers came by again.
"So, Barker; we're taking a wild guess you haven't heard of the new murder?" Robinson asked; Charlie glared at him as they walked up to the desk, with that news of the murder, "Thought not; you know that trainee that was with us yesterday? Oliver Horan, was his name, right, Taylor? Well, he saw you with the victim before he was found dead, and there was a gun shot heard from around the corner of the pub. Our sources are saying you walked out of that pub with the guy and he didn't go back either."
"Why would I go to a pub, when I don't drink and I rarely carry a gun around with me - which I guess I should from these mysterious murders." Charlie folded his arms on to his desk, leaning on the desk; he winced in pain, suddenly remembering his arm.
The two officers noticed Charlie wince in pain and took a look at his arm; they saw the bandage on Charlie's muscular arm.
"Hurt your arm, Barker?" Taylor hinted at the bandage; Charlie nodded to reply, and Taylor began to get a little sarcastic with his comments until Robinson gave him a nudge - making him go back on track, "Strange, because shouldn't a good detective as yourself be careful and we found someone else's blood at the murder scene too."
"We took tests too; the blood samples match yours." Robinson continued.
"Wait a minute, how did you get my blood samples?" Charlie asked, quickly moving his folded arms to his chest - causing a slight pain in his arm.
"We got it from... someone you don't need to know of at this time." Taylor replied quickly
"Excuse me, but it's my blood you're using samples for, so I think I do need to know." Charlie stood up and stood directly in front of Taylor - just over towering them both with his height -; Charlie glared at Taylor as he glared back.
"Lads, I think Charlie has a point; he needs to know why you have it and where you got it from? Again, why weren't we informed of this murder?" Katie began to sound quite peeved off; she stepped between Charlie and the two officers, facing more toward Charlie.
The two officers just ignored Katie, and took Charlie's arms -taking him outside the room; she placed her hands on her hips and said to herself in quite a peeved off tone, "Ignored by those nobs again; it's beginning to become a habit, isn't it?"
The two officers dragged Charlie to their car again - not taking any notice or care of Charlie's injured arm -; Charlie tried to pull away from the two officers, but although he had a lot of strength, he couldn't - his arm was too sore to do so. Robinson sat in the back with Charlie, while Taylor drove them to Vanessa's laboratory. Charlie noticed Oliver wasn't with the two officers this time around. On the journey to Vanessa's laboratory, Charlie decided it might be best if he should take in some surroundings, in case of an emergency or if he wanted help - he could just speed dial Katie and she'd be there within seconds, with back-up -.
Charlie had spotted the laboratory was on the outskirts of New York and that there was quite a bit of scenery around - such as one of the many famous theme parks in America and fields with beautiful Shire horses-; Charlie noted a few of these down, without any of the officers noticing, and stuffed the note, quickly, into his jeans back pocket.
