Recovery girl and I took a shuttle that drove us to the first practical exam site. It wasn't far away from the main campus, only a few minutes in the bus.

"Are you settling in alright?" Recovery girl asked as we stepped off the bus.

"More or less," My smile a little strained. I was still upset about what happened earlier but knew that it was best to focus on what was happening in front of me. I can handle the situation later. "Atsumi will be in soon. It's been a while since he's seen you. I can get him a visitors pass so he can stop by."

"How is the sly wolf doing?" She chuckled "Still up to the same mischief?"

"He stays too busy to cause too much trouble," I laugh. "I don't think he's fully recovered from the last time you gave him a good scolding. I do know that he hasn't touched a candle again."

"I think he's more of a fox than a wolf," she stated opening the door to the small viewing room next to the testing grounds. We were at Site A and were currently waiting for all the applicants to arrive to begin the test. Looking up at the top left screen I could see Mic standing a top the high pillar beside the gate. He looked completely bored. If he was here though that means he had already finished explaining the rules to the hopeful kids.

"Which is why I call him a fox. Nothing makes him madder," I laugh out just thinking of Atsumi's amber eyes narrowing in irritation. "And he responds with calling me a house cat."

"You two are more like brothers than best friends." Recovery girl smiled up at me "I'm truly glad you two never lost each other through everything that's happened to you both."

"I truly am lucky," I agreed. "If it wasn't for Atsu this last year I don't know what would have happened to me. He never once doubted me or questioned. Not just this last year though. Ever since we met, that fool has always stood by my side walking through whatever darkness that laid ahead."

"I'm honestly surprised you two never ended up together."

I laughed loudly at that. "You wouldn't be the first one to think that. Anyone who has been around us tends to think that."

"He not your type?" Recovery joked poking at my side with her cane.

"That's not it." I said stepping out of the way and holding my ribs. "We just promised to never cross that line with each other."

"Naivety. That's what that sounds like," She replied with an eye roll.

"Besides I have my eyes on someone else. Maybe even two." I said my face heating up a little to admitting it out loud.

"Oh and who might they be?" She said lifting her cane up again to jab me in the ribs.

"My little secret old lady," I teased back smirking down at her.

"I'll show you old lady you cheeky cat." Recovery girl said smiling back at me.

When a loud horn sounded from the screens in front of us we turned our attention to the aspiring students who hurried in to take on the assaulting robots. One boy in particular stood out in this group. He brought down robot after robot. It looked as if an explosion was ignited from the palms of his hands. His battle sense and prowess was impressive for one who hadn't been trained yet. Rough but definitely held massive potential.

Something was catching my attention though. Toward the later part of the test, not long before the final horn to signify the end, I saw that the muscles in his wrists and forearms were beginning to spasm. Every so slightly. Probably not even noticeable to the untrained eye.

"You see it too?" Recovery girl asked. "He's at his limit."

"But what a terrifying limit it is," I smiled down at her.
