Queen Iza

It's been a week since the trip to the mall. Kaylie never did talk to Iza since then, but Iza got used to it. Iza even began to hate Kaylie, but she couldn't rationalize why.

At home, she and Maira would go on adventures again but this time, Iza was claiming to be after a "supreme power". One night, as they fended off Bear-lions from a small village, Iza claimed that a lightning bolt struck her.

She gained the powers of multiple gods and declared herself the Queen over the lands. Maira was already a self appointed princess so she got mad at Iza. Iza didn't care and banished her to a world of eyeball monsters.

When Maira said she didn't like it, Iza just kept going with it anyway. Iza created servants and wanted to be called "The Queen of Fire".

When Iza went to school she kept her story going in her head. She had a study hall where she would just sit there and write about the things she did.

At lunch, she sat at a new table and wrote there too. Her friends tried talking to her but she kept telling them that she just didn't want to be bothered.

As she wrote during lunchtime, one of the boys at her table came over.

He asked her, "Iza, are you okay?"

She didn't look up, "I'm fine, what do you want?"

He paused, "We just wanna know if anything is the matter... I—"

"I told you I'm fine. I just wanna be alone right now."

The boy didn't want to leave, "But Iza, I—"

She put down her pencil, "Just go back to the table! I'm OKAY!"

He stopped talking and quickly went back.

In her English class, they were assigned to write short speeches about someone they wanted everyone to learn from and read it to the class. Most of the kids chose characters from movies or popular figures from history.

Kaylie walked up to the front of the class and read off of her paper.

"Today I'm gonna share someone I think we can all learn from. That person is my sister Erin! Not only does she get straight A's in school, but she's also doing things for the needy as well! I have yet to see her do something that didn't benefit someone else!! When she was in the fourth grade, she—"

Kaylie went on and on about Erin. It started to bother Iza.

"I wish she would just shut up about her."

Soon after, It was Iza's turn to read hers.

"Good morning everyone, I'm gonna share about someone who we all need to learn from. Her name is Iza, my great Aunt. I was named after her and for a good reason, she's done a lot for my family."

Iza didn't have a great aunt named "Iza", she lied.

"She sacrificed her own livelihood to feed the homeless and she even gave the shirt off her own back! She had unmatched kindness!"

Iza glanced at Kaylie, and Kaylie looked really interested.

When Iza returned home at the end of the day, she and Maira played together again. Once more though, Iza behaved like a tyrannical bully. Maira played along because it was interesting to her, but Iza only kept going because she wanted to do whatever she wanted.

Iza had captured Maira and put her in a cage above the flying spider-sharks. Maira was getting upset and tried to change things herself.

"(Wait a minute Iza, look over there!)" Maira pointed, "(Ghost pigs are swarming to free me! They're on my side!!)"

"(I send down fire to kill them all)"

"(Hey you can't do that!!)" Maira marched up to Iza.

"(You're still in a cage! Go back over there!)" Iza yelled.

"(No!! You're being stupid Iza!!)"

"(I'm not Iza! Stop calling me that!)"

Maira shut her eyes and screamed, "Iza!!! Iza!! Iza!!! Iza!!"

Iza shoved Maira and Maira fell and tripped over a toy on the ground. There was one of Maira's plushies near her, so she flung it at Iza. Iza got hit in her eye and she screamed. She ran over and started hitting Maira and they fought until their mother barged in the room to drag Iza out. Her mom yelled at her and Iza was punished. She wasn't allowed to leave her room and she wasn't allowed to have her phone either.
