"Seeing you wearing your wedding dress makes me remember of your mom." Napalingon ako sa may bukana ng pinto nang marinig ko si papa na magsalita.

Nagpaalam muna ang make-up artist ko na aalis muna bago lumapit sa akin si papa at tinignan ako sa salamin habang nakangiti. Napangiti ako nang makita ko siyang maglabas ng panyo at pinahid ang mga patak ng luha sa kaniyang pisngi.

"Pa, the ceremony isn't starting yet. Reserve that tears, later." I joked.

He laugh a bit. "Time flies so fast. Ang prinsesa ko magiging reyna na ng iba." He smiled again. "Adrian, in any minute soon, matutupad mo na ang kaisa-isang pinapangarap mo. A happy family together with Allison and Rian. I'm so proud of you, anak. Hindi ko akalain na sa pagkawala ng mama mo at sa pagtago ko ay mas lalo ka pang lumakas. You're brave enough to face what's in the future. You already prove that to all of us. I'm so happy because you're in good hands now."

Napatayo na ako at napayakap sa kaniya. "Pa, I'm still your princess. That will never gonna change. Even if, I build my own kingdom, I'm still your princess and you're still my one and only king." Bulong ko sa kaniya bago humiwalay sa pagkakayakap. "Pa, what do you think about me today? Am I beautiful?"

"Of course, you are!" He chuckled. "Huwag ka lang talagang sasaktan ni Allison... kidding. I know she will never hurt you. Saksi ako kung paano ka niya mahalin ng buong-buo. She live for you. She stand firm for you. She didn't let her guards down for you. Kahit wala ka sa tabi niya, ikaw pa rin ang hinahanap niya. She treats you as her home. Kaya noong nawala ka, she had been lost. She cried for a countless times. She bleeds a tons of blood inside. She always treats her wounded heart by remembering your past."

Doon na ako tuluyang napaluha. Alam kong masasaktan ko si Allison noong umalis ako at hindi nagpakita nang ilang buwan. Pero, hindi ko akalain na sobrang naging miserable siya nang mawala ako sa tabi niya.

I will fulfill my promise now, love.

"Tama na ang iyak, anak. Baka magkalat ang make-up mo." Sabi niya at tumawa.

Napailing na lang ako. "It's your fault, pa! Pwede mo lang naman akong i-congratulate. Hindi mo na kailangang sabihin kung gaano ako kamahal ni Allison dahil alam ko 'yon." I smirked. "That old lady is madly in love with me." Confident na sabi ko kay papa.

"One more hug, Adrian." Sabi niya bago ako niyakap. "I love you," he whispered to me.

"I love you, too, pa." I whispered back.

Pagkatapos ng ilang oras na preparasyon ay nagtungo na kami sa simbahan. I shake both of my hands to lessen the nervousness I'm feeling but, this insensitive heart won't stop to pound rapidly. I often remind myself to stay cool and calm. This is our day. I will not let this ruin by my stupidity.

I let out a heavy sigh as I stepped my feet outside and stood still in front of the main door of the church. Inayos ng dalawang babae ang belo ko at ang wedding gown ko. Muli akong naglabas ng hangin at ngumiti.

Mahigpit kong hinawakan ang bouquet nang binuksan na nila ang pinto. Napakagat labi ako nang makaramdam nang sobrang kaba. I slowly walk down the aisle. I couldn't barely hear the wedding song because all I hear is my own heart beats.

I never knew my heart could be covered by ice, and day by day, I'm getting used to it until it molded of who I was before. And, being isolated was the only way to prevent it to melt. I am afraid to open up my heart to someone. I am afraid that the love I will give to someone will never be enough.

Until I met Allison. I just helped her catch the thief and never think that she would be part of my dreams at night. I prevent myself from engaging myself to her. I tried. I even said to myself to keep distance from her but, I failed. Universe wanted us to always meet.
