Sofia had been taught from a young age that she only had to focus on her studies and on finding the right person. More specifically, the right man.
And she was alright with it, because that is what’s right, isn’t it? A man shall only sleep with a woman, and vice versa. A man with another man, and a woman with another woman, was socially and religiously wrong.
But then why she suddenly felt drawn to her? She belonged to that group, didn’t she? She was one of those freaks. Rebel people who were convinced they loved someone of their same identity. But really, they only wanted to go against society’s standards. Society’s correct standards.
Yet the thought saddened her. She somehow wanted to be with her.
Oh Lord, would God ever forgive her for thinking like that? Being with another girl…unacceptable. What would He think? What would her parents think?
Her feelings will go away eventually, she was sure of it. She only hoped the time would be soon, very soon. It was all a phase. Nothing to worry about.
She’ll be normal again in no time.
