Zachary Miles is not your average young man. He is 16 years old and has brown hair the color of new bark on a tree, sparkling blue eyes that shine like sapphires. Scars and muscles that have formed from all the fights cascade along his knuckles and arms. He also has a smile that can light up a room. This young man lives in the city of Alf, a city of not one or two but thousands of demigods from all different mythologies, which just so happens to be in the middle of the present day Rocky Mountains. In the North live the Norse demigods, because it is colder. In the West we have Roman demigods to keep their sense of location the same. In the East reside the Greeks so they are closer to their home, and finally we have the South where the Egyptian demigods reside so they will feel warmer.

Our young hero lives in the South. His father (unannounced to him) is Horus, the Egyptian god of war. All his life Zach has been different- easier to anger, better at fighting. He has always looked forward to the next fight, that is, until he met a wonderful young girl of the age fifteen years old from the East. Her name: Casey.

Casey Venustas happens to be the daughter of Aphrodite, the greek goddess of love and compassion. Her looks rival only those of her personality, with auburn hair, majestic brown eyes, and full beautifully red lips. She is easily one of the most elegant and beautiful girls there are in the city.  She silenced the raging beast inside Zach whenever she was around, not from her looks, no not at all, but because she is the first person that actually has cared for him in a sense he has never experienced, one in which he could not help but fall in love with her.

This young woman has a sister that she has known all her life but does not know that they are related. Her name is Amii, Amii Forma, the young 14 year old girl with brown hair that flowed straightly to her shoulders. The girl of Hispanic ethnicity has gorgeous brown eyes that are similar to Casey's but a slightly darker shade. She had an innocent look about her. Her personality is one that rivals her beauty. She does not care how much she hurts on the inside- she must always help others, but she is not shy to let you know when you are mistaken on anything. She is superbly intelligent, and finally she has come to like a young man of the age of sixteen years by the name of Dylan Homer.

Dylan is a young, muscular man who helps his mother in the car shop, what happens to be his father's realm. His father is the Roman god of the forge, Vulcan. Dylan, like Zach, is muscular with brown hair and blue eyes. However, that is where the similarities stop. Dylan has burns and calluses on his hands and arms from working around fire. He also is shorter and less prone to say how he feels, but nevertheless he is a loyal and trustworthy friend that every person is lucky to have.

How did all these people meet, you may ask. Well, it is all thanks to one humble and very graceful young woman named Rebecca Lupus. She lives in the northernmost part of the city and raises animals at the zoo with her family. She tends to the wolves (mostly because her father is Fenrir, god of wolves in Norse mythology). She loves and cares for them tirelessly. This 16 year old girl has black hair, brown eyes, the same as her father, sharp canine teeth, and a brilliance not commonly found in people. Rebecca has a paler skin tone because of her origins and a more distinguished attitude to those that hurt her friends.

Our five heroes go to the same school which so happens to be filled with demigods. This is how they met, and this is where our story begins.
