Is love real?

I never thought I'd see myself being with the girl of my dreams, how I got so lucky when many more aren't. She has the perfect smile, perfect laugh, perfect eyes and an amazing personality. Oh how I got lucky.

"LUKE!" My boss yelled. "Huh?" I responded back. "You gonna just keep day dreaming or get back to work? I don't pay you to just slack off." 'I didn't realize that I had spaced off for some time' I thought to myself. "I'm sorry boss, it won't happen again, I swear." He just snarled and walked off, which doesn't surprise me because I have a habit of day dreaming while I'm at work. I finish up working on the client's car and get ready to punch out. "Luke come to my office real quick before punching out" My boss said. 'I wonder what it could be about, I hope not to fire me' I thought while walking to his office. "Yes boss, what is it?" He got up and came over to me and handed me the keys to the shop. "I want you to close up shop tonight, I will be headed out of town for a few days for my anniversary and need to get home."

I took the keys and told him okay. I sat in the office as I watched him get in his car and leave. Theirs no point in arguing with him when he tells you to do something. There was only me and two other people working right now, so I rested my head on the desk to relax. I must've fell asleep because when I woke up it was getting dark and both the workers have already punched out and left. 'Shit I better close up and get home before Emily gets mad' I thought to myself. I closed up the shop and got on my bike and headed back to the city, to my small one bedroom apartment.

As I got home, I already knew I was gonna have an ear full on why I was late coming home. So yeah I guess my relationship isn't all sunshine and rainbows, things started going down hill months ago but I have hope that I can fix it with our 2 year anniversary coming up. I entered my apartment and Emily was sitting on the couch watching her game show. "Hi honey, sorry I got home late." "Where were you? You were supposed to be home 3 hrs ago" she snapped at me. I took off my vest and goggles and walked to the bedroom.

"Boss wanted me to close up shop for him and I may have accidentally fell asleep in the office." I sat down and started taking my shoes off, to get ready for bed. "Of course you'd do something like that, how could you be so damn stupid." I laid down and took a deep breath to calm down. "I'm sorry honey." She got up and came into the bedroom to grab a blanket and pillow "Whatever it's something I'd expect from you, I'm sleeping on the couch." I sighed and closed my eyes.

I woke up at 10 in the morning and started getting ready for work. Emily came into the room and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth. "By the way Luke I need to borrow your bike today" she said. "But that's how I get to work hun, how would I get their without it?" "You can take the bus, I need it to go visit a friend but she lives out side of town." I finished getting ready and grabbed a lunch for work. "Okay fine go ahead, I'll see you tonight after I close up the shop." "Don't be late again but knowing you, you probably will be" she snapped.

I left my apartment and headed for the bus and just barely made it. 'I wish I could do something to not make her mad at me all the time' I thought. After an hr I finally got off at my stop and walked to work. It was a pretty easy day, only one person came in for an oil change and finished a client's sports bike. As I was leaving work I got a text from Emily, saying she had to much to drink and was  spending the night at her friend's place. 'Great, now I'll have to take the bus again tomorrow' I texted her saying okay and I'll see her tomorrow night, only to get a thumbs up reply back.
