This is written for fun and out of love for Genshin Impact's character, Albedo. Everything written in this fanfic may or may not be canonically correct. This is gender neutral, so y/n will be taking they/them pronouns. If traveler is mentioned, I'll be using Aether. I wrote this during the version 2.0-2.1 and published in early 2.2. Forgive my grammatical mistakes and enjoy the reading! (Manifesting Albedo rerun. Albedo wanters shall be Albedo havers!)

You just got off of Genshin Impact and laid on your bed. Once your head made contact with your pillow, you almost drifted off to sleep. Only a few minutes after did you feel a cold sensation on your body.

It's freezing cold!

Your hands reaches out to grab the blanket, but what met your hand was soft crunches of what felt like... snow?

Opening your eyes, you saw white everywhere. It felt surreal, but you quickly pinch your hand, making sure that it was real. Despite the coldness gnawing at your body, you couldn't accept reality until you felt the pain from your pinch.

You sat on the cold snow, not knowing what to do. Panic settled in as you look around. Your body is shivering from the cold, and you notice that you were dressed in a simple black shirt with a white lab coat over you with a pair of pants, which was different than what you were wearing.

"System starting. NPC_name_Y/N."

A systematic voice appears in your mind. Then a screen appear in front of you, "Mission: Prevent Albedo's death. Time limit: 15 days until quest event is over."

It then disappears, leaving you dumbfounded. It was too much for you to accept reality. It was very snowy and cold to the point that you couldn't think of that at the moment.

"Oh my, what do we have here?"

A voice calls out. Upon recognizing that voice, you first thought it was all a prank, so you relax a bit and turn around to your favorite character, Albedo.

However, he was certainly in front of you just a few meters away from you. He wasn't flat nor was he on a screen. It was perpetually impossible to be seeing him non-canonically talking to you like this.

Behind him was Aether, the male traveler. Albedo quickly came over, kneeling down to where you were and quickly took off his white coat, putting it around you. A slight warmth on his coat made contact with your arms, and you felt relieved, yet a sense of panic was still there.

"May I ask you what you're doing here with such light clothing? Furthermore, to be sitting on the ground as if the snow isn't bothering you." He tilts his head.

You wanted to ask him that, since he was wearing shorts and a short sleeve to Dragonspine. You mumble out his name as if caught in a trance. He then turns to Aether, saying, "Traveler, let's get them to my lab. It's near here."

Aether then changes back to the party members that were on the team. Instead of Aether, it was now Zhongli who quickly runs to you but got side tracked as he went to attack some hilichurls on the side, even bringing out Diluc, Ayaka, and Bennett. After defeating them, he picks up the masks and comes over to you. Albedo didn't say anything as if he didn't see that and stood up as Aether helps you up.

Is this what NPCs see all the time when the players get side tracked to go kill some mobs? And this player definitely seem like a whale, if not a dolphin.

Soon, you were in the cave with a blanket wrapped around you instead of Albedo's coat near the fire. You then look at the character Zhongli who is cooking at the moment. He quickly eats the Sweet Madame and then walk to Albedo.
