2. Look At That Little Freak

Yamato Yuma's POV

Mr. Iyutaka calls me to his office.

"Good afternoon Principal. What may I help you with?" I ask

"Could you show the new student around when his mother and him arrive? Welcome him here and I am not forcing you to be friends with him but his mother has informed me that he hasn't had any friends." He explains

"Why me?" I ask

"I know you are very busy especially since you're the captain of both the soccer and football teams, but I know you would make him feel more welcomed then anyone else would." He replies

"Ok, I'll do it." I say

A woman and a boy with his hood up walks in. Why is he wearing a black sweater in the summer? It's 90 some degrees outside. I watch him. 

"Stop staring creep." He says

"Kouichi!" His mother scolds

"Whatever" he slumps in a chair

She sighs sadly and looks at him.

"I'm sorry about him" she says

"No, it's my fault, I was staring at him and I probably made him uncomfortable. I'm sorry." I say

He scoffs, " Can we get this over with? I seriously don't care about these stupid apologies. I didn't come here to listen to this."

"Excuse us for a second." She says

They leave.

"What is your problem?" She asks

"I'm going home." He says

"No, you're not." She says

"Whatever, your highness." He says sarcastically 

She comes back and I get up. 

"I'm gonna go show him around." I say

They nod and I catch up with him. 

"Hey wait up!" I yell

He looks at me with his piercing crystal blue eyes. I show him around after trying to convince him to come with me. 

"I'm Yuma, whats your name?" I ask

"Reichi" he mumbles

"What year are you in?" I ask

"Junior" he replies

"I'm in senior year" I say 

"Good for you" he says

"Why were you angry with your mom? Why do you wear that sweater? Why isn't you're father here?" I ask

"SHUT UP!!" He yells

"I'm sorry" I say

People look at us and they begin to call him names.

"What a freak, why is he here? Poor Yuma. " I hear

He laughs at them, " it's true, I'm a freak but calling me that won't do you any good." He mumbles

I smile a little. 

"This is the science lab" I say

"Cool" he looks down

"Why do you have your hood up?" I ask

"What's it to you? You can see my face can't you?" He asks

"Yea." I say

"Then you don't need me to take off my hood." He replies

"Ok" I say

"I'm going home" he announces and just leaves

"Wait, what about your mom?" I ask

"Knowing her, she'd be waiting in the car." He leaves

Kouichi Reiji's POV

I walk to the car and get in.

"What is your problem today? You were extremely rude." She says

"So what? It's just another school that I'm gonna leave in the less the 6 months. What's the point in being nice? What's the point in going to school? What's the point in making friends!? What's the point in actually being alive?!" I laugh hysterically 

"Kouichi! Stop!" She yells

"Why? Haha! Do I scare you mom? Do I?! Do you wish I was never born, like you said over the phone to dear old auntie?! Am I just worthless to you?! Am I in the way?! Do you need me to move?! I'll move! Tell me mom did you ever actually love me?!" I yell

"Honey, your just having another episode, please calm down." She says 

"ANOTHER EPISODE!!! I AM NOT HAVING ANOTHER EPISODE!!! I AM TELLING THE HARSH TRUTH!!!" I get out of the car, "I HATE YOU!!!"

I leave and can hear that stupid boy ask what's going on. I run before he can actually catch me. I run home and lock myself in my room.
