Kieran POV

Olivia has managed to befriend everyone, including my girlfriend. She has also done a very good job at avoiding me, but today I want to get her all to myself. We have to talk this out.

I want down stairs and found everyone at the sitting room, playing monopoly. My friends and family were seated around a coffee table and playing the game. Kevin rolled the dice then my father jumped up and down and did his victory dance.

"Pay up son," dad said to Kevin, while grinning happily and Kevin groaned.

"Hey guys, can I borrow Liv for a sec?" I asked after approaching them. "Can we talk later. I want to finish this game first," Olivia said without even sparing a glance at me. Everyone could feel the vibe between me and her.

"Olivia baby just go and talk to him. We don't mind waiting for you," mom pleaded. Liv let out a sigh of defeat and got up from the floor and walked out of the room sulking.

We went to the study upstairs and she took her seat at the far end of the room and I took my seat on the opposite end of the room.

"So do you have anything to tell me?" I asked her. "You should be the one who has something to tell me, after all you are the one that brought me all the way from downstairs, not the other way around" she answered while cleaning her nails. She looked really bored if you asked me.

"Okay then. I just wanted to know why are you treating me like this?" I asked. "Treating you like what?" She asked, still not making eye contact with me. She spined around in the chair then turned to look at me. I see the old Liv is still there. The old Liv could never sit still.

"You treat me like I did something bad to you, I mean we haven't talked clearly ever since you were found" I explained.

"That's because you did do something bad Kieran" she said then spined around in the chair again.

"Then what is it?" I asked my voice getting louder. This is frustrating me and I'm not one for patience.

"You killed dad" she said, raising her voice higher too. "Of course I killed him. He deserved to die!" I said.

"Why would you kill dad?" She asked, her voice going louder and louder. "Because he was a sorry excuse of a men. That men abused mom day and night, but you didn't see that because you were always out with your friends. And you know what I don't regret my decision at all!" I shouted and got up from my seat. She got up from her seat too.

"No you are lying. Dad would never do that." Olivia shook her head aggressively.

"I'm telling you the truth. Kevin knows the truth, he is a witness. He witnessed dad beating mom to a pulp." She still looked in denial. "Should I call Kevin. I'm calling Kevin" I went out the room and called Kevin. He was here within seconds.

"Kevin, tell me the reason why I killed dad," I said to Kevin. "You killed him because he abused mom. You were only trying to save mom" Kevin explained. I motioned for him to leave and he did.

"You see Olivia, dad was a monster!" I shouted.

"But what about mom!" She shouted. "Mom was not a monster"

"What are you talking about?" I asked in confusion. "You killed mom!" She shouted.

"I never laid a hand on mom. She committed suicide!" I shouted back.

"Kieran you don't need physical touch to kill someone! Words hurt way more than physical touch. Don't you remember the day you came home drunk. You and mom started arguing, and then you told her to go to the hell hole her husband came from. You told mom to kill herself!" She shouted as a single tear ran down her face.
