The waters just fine // Dreamnap

"what?" He was taken aback, never in a million years would he thought dream would oppose an idea like that.

"well- I mean.. if you don't want to, we don't have to.." sapnap could tell by the way dream started to stammer and weaken his voice that he was starting to panic.

"no, no, I just never thought you'd say that... ever."

Dream and Sapnap awkwardly stared into the night sky that held everything together. They didn't speak for at least a few minutes before sapnap decided to talk again.

"We could do it." dream turned his head to meet sapnap who was already staring at him.

"Are you sure?"

"You did say you wanted to try it and who knows, it could be fun," he smirked, getting up from the floor and running inside, melting already from his sudden confidence.

The dirty blonde hummed in excitement. Dream has been thinking about this idea since summer started, to be cool and chill with his bestfriend.

He's never been this excited since.. ever!

As dream rose from the scratchy ground he called out to sapnap, "Nick! Hurry, hurry, before the sun comes up"

"Are you dumb? The sun had only just set" dream heard sapnaps muffled voice call out.

"Good point" dream laughed softly.

"Just give me like 10 more seconds.."

Every second felt like an hour like time has slowed down so slowly. The excitement bubbling inside him like water in a burning pot, even his fingers were tingling.

The waiting was killing him, even if it was just 10 seconds, sapnap didn't even take 10 seconds, he took more.

"It's been more than 10 seconds, sap" He groaned dramatically.

"Okay, okay, I'm here and ready, you stupid moron."

"you look the same?" sapnap rolled his eyes at the comment and walked out the door.

Little did dream know, sapnap was freaking out and his face was bright as the sun. This feeling he didn't want to discover just yet, then it just discovered it for himself.

"wait for me, pandas!" dream laughed as he yelled, jogging to meet sapnap at his side.

As they walked, they had a few warm conversations and small jokes. Their laughs harmonized so beautifully together like they were meant to be like they were soulmates. Every minute that they walked together was like heaven. They didn't want to separate.

"AH!" Sapnap jumped, pushing dream forward like a meat shield. He had fast reflexes but only when he has an opportunity to save himself.

"You're such a scaredy-cat" dream chuckled, ruffling the shorters hair with his large hand.

"says you, piss baby"

"oh come on" dream groaned, rolling his eyes at sapnaps comment. He regrets telling the story since that's all he jokes about, he doesn't mind though.

"oh come on sopnop, oh cOME ON" he mocked, doing stupid little faces.

Dream laughed and shook his head, pushing sapnap while he did faces. The night was warm. Crickets sang along to their conversations and touches of laughter. It was a night to remember for both of them, they would never forget it.
