Izuku thrashes in his cage, the fins that line his large tail flare with a dangerous purpose. The claws his fingers taper into slice through the water and catch the light that filters into the clear water of the aquarium tank he's in. His gills flare in irritation as he flips around, muscled tail ramming into the three-inch glass barrier with a thundering BAM! Bioluminescent sacs under clear scales flare and glow, flashing a brilliant toxic green. The team that had brought the merman into the tank watch the mer flail and roar, flexing the powerful jaws that can often unhinge, like a snake.

The tank is riddled with as much enrichment they could fit in the large tank, spanning a mile wide and two miles long, with deeper parts to mimic the deep, cold sea. Coral flourish and grow, schools of fish swim in the aquarium through small forests of kelp and seaweed, past rocks filled with mussels and other ocean life and flora. A large cave was designated for the creature to find home into, soft sand lining the entire aquarium bottom.

The team watches the merman take one last swing at the barrier with his tail, gills flaring as he sucks in air from the surrounding water. The mer's hands clench into fists, one coming to hit the glass weakly. You could see the fight leaving the glorious creature, bioluminescent sacs dimming as the fist falls from the glass. A single, waning click leaves the creature's mouth, floating in the water, slightly disoriented by the water. Mermaid's and Mermen's calls were something of power, glory, and beauty.

This one was broken, cold, and void of anything. The call traveled far, so broken yet so powerful. In the other parts of the aquarium, penguins started to click and cry out, looking in the direction of Izuku's cage. Otters chittered and chirped, looking in the same direction as the mer's prison. Creaturs all over the aquarium called out to the mer while the marine biologists watched Izuku's turn; a single glare was pointed at them before Izuku was gone, the trail of bubbles rising and dissipating from the mer's tail.

Whenever they go into the mer's tank, he does not attack but quietly disappears somewhere into the enclosure, no matter how or where they try to look for them. Until a new biologist joined Yueei Aquariman's staff, he was now the leader of Izuku's 'rescue' case. He had looked into everything, including the CCTV of Izuku's grand fight, before breaking. Katsuki was enraged! Did they just pick up a mer without any knowledge?! Do they know anything?!

(Apparently not, Izuku is a deep sea mer; he doesn't do the shallow water that most of the enclosure is made of! He's most likely always in the deepest part of the enclosure so his body can regulate its pressure properly, along with regulating proper blood flow. Their bodies weren't shallow water mers who could live in a foot of water.)

Katsuki put on a wetsuit two days after finishing looking into Izuku's case, slinking into the enclosure with staff behind them chewing their nails in fear that Izuku may attack Katsuki. Katsuki hooked up all his equipment, fixing the air tank on his back before diving into the mildly frigid water. Katsuki swam for around thirty minutes before reaching the drop into the deeper waters, where Izuku would most likely be if his ten years of researching mer's (in their wild habitats, they were sociable animals and were always curious.
