I woke up to a blinding light, and the sound of crying. Once I sat up, and fully awoke, I tried to recollect everything that happened.
I was in a hospital waiting room sitting across from my exhausted looking mother. The only other person in the waiting room was a very old woman clutching a picture of what looked to be her husband. She looked so scared and heartbroken and I felt so horrible for her.
After a while of realization I was hit with the heartache of last night all over again.
"Tessa! Come quick!" My mother called from downstairs.
I could hear the panic in her voice. After rushing out of my room, and down the stairs as quickly was possible I saw my mother kneeling beside my father.
"Call the medics" She said while furiously crying.
After the trip to the hospital he was rushed into the emergency room while my mother and I were left to wait.
I suddenly felt very light headed and couldn't even stand. "Tessa?" My mother said and I lost all the balance I had.
My mum looked so upset even though she was sleeping. I wanted to wake her and just cry on her shoulder although I didn't even know why I was crying. All I knew was that my dad was in the hospital, I fainted before I could find out the rest.
I decided to walk around and possibly find a doctor who could tell me what was happening.
Just down the hall I saw a check in desk and figured I would be able to see what happened to my dad or what room her was in. Basically any information I could find out.
"How can I help you?" The check in lady said. She was awfully cheery for someone who works around mourning families and sick patients.
"I-um can you tell me what room William Clark is staying in? Or his current condition?"
"Hmm William...Clark? Correct?" She said while scanning her clipboard. I nodded.
"Well the type of room he is in cannot accept any visitors at the moment."
"Not even close family?" I practically begged.
"No, sorry ,love." She shook her head. "And as for his condition, all that is written here is that he is in intensive care, but you could speak to his doctor."
"Yeah. Do you know where I could find him?" She glanced at her watch and scrunched her nose.
"He doesn't get in for another three hours. Come back and then I'll tell you where to find him" She smiled.
"Ok. Thank you." I walked off to once again join my mother in the waiting room.
Since I had some time until I could actually find out what was going on I just sat in the uncomfortable waiting room chair and listened to somewhat soothing music.
After about an hour I decided to run and grab my mother and I some coffee at the cafeteria.
The cafeteria was crowded with mostly doctors and nurses who worked there. I joined the long line and i began to form a huge headache probably from all the conversing doctors and such.
Not long after, a group of very loud boys jumped on line behind me. I didn't even want to turn around and look at them because I would only end up rolling my eyes at them, or telling them off considering was very stressed and my headache didn't help.
It was taking forever to get just two coffees and the noisy people behind me just got louder and louder. I sighed loudly, maybe louder than I expected, and ran my hand through my hair.
