Prologue

Hello Everyone, 

I'm really happy to share my first fanfic with all of you. Listed below are a few things you should know;

1. This is a readerxspencer fanfic and therefore I use the terms, y/n, y/l/n, y/e/c, y/h/c ect...

y/e/c- your eye colour

y/h/c- your hair colour

2. Please keep in mind that this is my first time writing fanfiction after all, so my writing or story-telling  might be a bit rough to begin with. I am fine with criticism as long as it has value and is constructive. I am not a very sensitive person and any negative comments will not affect me, they will simply be removed so as to not potentially trigger other readers. 

3. This fanfiction is based off of a fictional character from the tv show Criminal Minds and therefore I DO NOT OWN anything related to Criminal Minds, nor do I own any characters that form part of the show. THIS BOOK IS PURELY FICTION.

4. I will be taking inspiration and using some of the cases that are depicted in the show as well as trying to come up with my own.  I might not necessarily follow cases in chronological order and therefore there might be some SPOILERS.

5. This story will contain smut/sex and elements of BDSM relationships later on. If this makes you uncomfortable please do not hesitate to stop reading. It is not my intention to make anybody uncomfortable. 

6. I will try my best to be as neutral as possible when explaining/ describing the character y/n and I apologise in advance if I ever allude to some physical description.

7.In this book I will use the pronouns she/her, you are free to change them if you want and I hope this does not make anyone uncomfortable.

9. I WILL NOT TOLERATE anyone leaving comments making fun of abuse, substance abuse, depression, eating disorders or other triggering themes. I will also try my best at putting trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter along with a small recap of the previous chapter so if anyone needs to skip one due to a trigger, they will be able to do so.

10. This story is loosely based off of season 2 Spencer Reid, primarily for the fact he wears glasses in that season, however, Emily and Rossi already form part of the team and Elle and Gideon have already left. 

Lastly, Thank you very much for reading this little vent of mine and I hope you enjoy the story. I will be posting regularly as I've finished school and summer has just started. <3
