I was still facing the sky, a small drop of tear falling down from my one eye. The past is in the past. But... Did I really left the agency to protect them...or... because I wanted to run away from my past.

I looked back at Aoi showing a small sad smile. "We better get going Aoi. It's going to turn dark soon." I said getting up from the ground and dusted myself afterwards.

Aoi knowing how hard it was for me to talk about my past, she just nodded and got off the ground as well. "You are right... Let's just go."

The next morning we had to go to work. I wasn't in the best mood since I stayed up almost all night thinking about my life so far. So of course I would be tired and sleepy.

"Hey hey Ito-chan... Are you still sleepy? Have you even drank any coffee?" Asked Aoi coming to sit next to my side of the counter. "...I drank three cups of coffee... And I am still sleepy..." Aoi just smiled "That's because the type of coffee you drink is too sweet to even call it a coffee." She laughed.

I slammed my head to the counter. "Here drink this!" I looked up to see Aoi holding a cup of black coffee. I kept looking between that and my friend. "Is that supposed to help?" She nodded her head. I took it from her hand and drank it with one go.

My eyes immediately widened and my tongue was suffering from the VERY bitter taste. "Water!" I filled quickly a glass with water and drank it slowly this time. "You really don't like bitter stuff now do you?" I shook my head. "Nope. I actually dislike them by a lot."

Just then our boss made his appearance. He coughed to take our attention. "I have bad news." He said it with an even so big smile. "What is it boss?" Asked Aoi surprised as well by his strange behavior.

"Sadly the amount of money we are getting everyday isn't enough to keep open the cafe. At this point we might as well close." Our eyes widened and I decided to speak my mind. "If that's so Sir, why are you even smiling? This is a serious business talk." Aoi hit my arm with her elbow. "What? I just said the truth." I shrugged it off and stared once again at our boss.

"That's because I have a new idea so we can keep open the cafe!" He said showing us two maid costumes. I deadpanned and Aoi looked at them embarrassed.

"W-wait! We can't w-w-wear them!" Said Aoi to our boss. My eyes sharpened and stared dead in the eyes of my friend. Her face was as red as a tomato, her hands were shaking and she was avoiding to look at the outfits on purpose. She was REALLY embarrassed.

Then a new idea popped in my head. I showed a small unnoticeable grin and glared down to my friend. "You know Boss, that's a wonderful idea." I said crossing my arms.

Aoi tensed up and stared at me with widened eyes. "W-what...?" That's what you get wanting me to wear the cat outfit last time. "Yeah you know, the maid cafes get more money than regular coffee shops."

"Awesome! That settles it! We can start from today!" Said our boss with an even bigger smile. Since I would really hate to wear that outfit, I need to sell him an excuse.

"I am sorry boss but I am afraid I can't wear it. It will not suit me at all. Aoi-chan in the other hand is more cuter than me so I don't find any problem with her."

"Ito-chan... If I am wearing this then you do as well! It's not fair!" She is like a small child~ How cute~ "But it's the boss's decision, Aoi-chan. After all, I can't even smile and that doesn't suit a maid at all." I said shrugging with my hands in the air.

"Still, you can smile if you really want to..." She whispered to herself but loud enough for me to hear. "What did you said Aoi-chan?" "N-nothing...!" I putted on a small smile and noted a win.
