Picnic- TsukiYama

A/N: schools out for me atm but uh- motivation and creativity is 0% so have this.. prompt from RenAsagao  so ty for this :)

"Tsukki, what are you doing?" Yamaguchi asked as he had a blindfold put around his eyes. "You'll see." Tsukishima replied easily. "You can't see, can you?" Yamaguchi rolled his eyes from under the blindfold. "Tsukki, it's a sleeping mask. Do you really think that I'm gonna be able to see through it?"

Tsukki smiled, not that Yams could see, and retorted, "Thank you, Captain Obvious. I meant can you see from the bottom or top of the blindfold." "No. Now what are you doing?" Tsukishima responded, "Like I said. You'll see."

Yamaguchi felt his hand being grabbed, and as if on instinct, intertwined his fingers with what felt to be Tsukki's. Tsukishima squeezed his hand lightly, and started slightly tugging him along. He started walking with him, their arms swinging in the air. It wasn't long before he heard a car door opening and him being guided into the car.

"Watch your head." Tsukishima advised, making him duck his head lower. He eventually made it into the car, got buckled, and was now on the road with Tsukki. Yams reached for his hand, slightly freaking out.

Tsukishima noticed this, intertwined their fingers once more, and asked, "Tadashi, you okay?" He nodded, taking deep breaths. "Yeah. Just keep ahold of my hand. I feel like I'm being kidnapped." Tsukishima hummed, keeping their hands linked for the rest of the drive.

Yamaguchi would say that it felt like hours, but Tsukishima would say that it was only 10 minutes, when they finally reached their destination. Tsukishima got out of the car first, helping Yamaguchi out a few seconds later.

Yamaguchi interlocked their hands again, just to have some kind of physical touch between the two. "There's a slight walk, it's not too long though. Maybe 5 minutes." Yamaguchi nodded, letting himself be led along through what felt like a field.

They made it to their final destination, and Tsukki positioned him to where he wanted him. "Okay, now I'm gonna count you down and you can take off the blindfold." Yamaguchi smiled and nodded. "Ready?" "You know it." Tsukishima started the countdown. "Three... two... one... go!"

He took off the blindfold to be met with a sight of a sunset, the warm hues slowly fading upwards into a dark blue, and a picnic set up at the top of the hill, complete with a quilt, a basket, and a bottle of champagne, sitting in a bucket full of ice. He turned to Tsukishima, tears in his eyes. Tsukishima smiled, "Happy 1 year, love."

The 4 words sent him over the edge, and he ran over to his boyfriend, tears already running down his face. They just stood there for a little bit, Yamaguchi trying to calm himself down and Tsukishima whispering sweet nothings in his ear and rubbing circles on his lower back.

Yams eventually calmed down, and the pair sat down on the quilt to carry out their picnic date. There were sandwiches, chips, fruits, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Tsukki pulled out 2 champagne glasses, and turned to Yamaguchi.

"Would you like to do the honors?" Yamaguchi smiled, and grabbed the bottle. He aimed it towards the sky and twisted the bottle until he heard a huge pop, and watched the cork fly through the sky and land somewhere at the bottom of the hill.

Tsukishima laughed, taking the bottle and pouring the two a drink. He handed the glass to Yamaguchi, and stared at the sky. "What should we toast to?" Yams brought his palm up to his forehead with a loud smack, looking back up at Tsukki, who was looking at him all confused.

"Tadashi, are you alright?" Yamaguchi chuckled, bringing his hand up to hold Tsukishima's face. "I don't know, darling. What should we toast to on our 1 year anniversary?"

You could almost see the lightbulb go off in Tsukki's head. He turned to look at Yamaguchi, who took his hand away from said boy's face. Tsukishima held up his glass, admiring Yams' face before he let a small smile take over his own features. "Here's to us, my prince. And a long, happy future ahead of us."

Yamaguchi nodded, scooting closer to his lover, nuzzling his head into Tsukki's shoulder. "Now that's something I can agree on."
