Third POV

Going through physical therapy is hard. Izuku realized that at different points over the next few weeks. For one, he was stuck in a wheelchair while he went to physical therapy. While he didn't mind being pushed everywhere, he did feel guilty about it; though, only to be told many times that it wasn't his fault. It also helped that Hiroshi and Daisuki loved to play around and race while pushing him.

While physical therapy was a lot, Izuku pushed through and worked hard to get better. A week after he started the physical aspect, he started with vocal therapy. He found it easier than physical therapy because he could already speak in short sentences after getting out of the hospital. So, it was mostly just working his vocal cords to be able to sing and hold volume for longer sentences and periods. Izuku's therapists were surprised by his progress but no one else was since they all knew how dedicated and hard-working Izuku could be.

There was one instance when Izuku finally got too frustrated with the limited activities and actions that he could do by himself and broke down crying. He just wanted to cook something for himself. Unfortunately, the stovetop was too high to see and maneuver while sitting, the bottom cabinets wouldn't open because they'd be blocked by his wheelchair, and he couldn't stand to reach the food in the top cabinets.

When Makoto and Kenta walked down the stairs and heard crying, they started rushing to find the culprit and the problem. When they saw Izuku in the middle of the kitchen in tears they freaked out even more. "Izuku!" Kenta exclaimed as Makoto ran over to check Izuku for injuries that could be behind the tears. When Makoto couldn't find a source of injury he waited for Kenta to soothe Izuku's tears till they were simple sniffles.

"Izu what happened? You're not injured so what caused all the tears?" Makoto asked softly. Izuku whimpered and looked down at his lap, "I just wanted to cook something myself but I couldn't reach or do anything in this chair. Nothing was going well and I got frustrated." Kenta and Makoto held a sympathetic look in their eyes for their youngest. "Aww, Izu it's okay. Everyone gets frustrated sometimes. Just take a deep breath and think outside the bow to combat your limitations. When you get met with a wall you can't climb you can call one of us and we'll help. That's what we're meant to do." Kenta reassured softly.

Izuku looked up at his two oldest hyungs with fresh tears in his eyes. He nodded to show he understood Kenta's reassurance and said thank you. Then the three of them worked together to make lunch for everyone. It was a nice bonding moment for the three of them and a calming factor for Izuku after his breakdown. He knew his friends and family would always have his back and be there to support him.

Other than the older members, Katsuki was worried for Izuku. Even though he was proud of how much his boyfriend was progressing, he was worried that he was pushing himself too much. Katsuki knew that the combination of vocal and physical therapy could be exhausting for anyone, but with the start-up of BTS' activities, Izuku had even more on his plate and it concerned the blond hero greatly. In his worry, he made Izuku promise not to push himself past his limits and made the rest of the group promise to not let Izuku perform until he finished his therapy. However, he knew how sad Izuku would be so he was okay for Izuku to sit off to the side on stage while the others performed.

When the first stage performance since Izuku's rescue happened, the crowd was deafening as they cheered for Izuku and praised his bravery. As Izuku sat to the side he wasn't happy that he couldn't join in fully but he also knew that this was the best he could get while staying safe and healthy. Also, it wasn't like he hadn't had to sit on the side before. As he sat and watched the others, he had a familiarity as with when he hurt his foot a couple of years ago. Izuku hated how many things he couldn't do but he was thankful for Katsuki and the others for watching over him and keeping his health and recovery in their best interests.
