"When she sings she sings come home! When she sings she sings come homeeeee!!"

The cheers of people filled the room as Jack's slurring voice filled the room. He was drunk.

"I knew I shouldn't have slept." grumbled Jacintha waking from her nap as she heard her male counterpart, "Is this blubbering dope serious?"

"I wish. Trust me, I really wish he was." sighed Ash, "I would say you'd get used to it, but I'd be lying."

The two shared a laugh. However a bittersweet pang reverberated in Jacintha's soul. She truly missed home, and her would-be lover if the TVA hadn't intervened.

"You're truly lucky to have him you know," she turned to Ash, "it's not every day that you meet the love of your life."

"Whoa- whoa there Jac!! I've bar- barely just met the man!" Ash stammered, "Besides, he's a total idiot, not to mention-"

"Hold that thought, Ash." Jac interrupted Ash. Noticing that Jack's guard uniform was gone, she tried to get Jack's attention by waving.

"Where's your uniform??" Jac gestured.

Completely in over his head, Jack waved back.

Dancing and prancing about, he continued his ballad.

Then suddenly he shushed everyone, an atmosphere of anticipation brewing.

Jacintha was scouting the area from her seat and grew worried. She saw a man look at them in suspicion and he retreated into the hall. Their cover was blown.

Meanwhile Ash was taking in the environment, as well as accumulating Jack's potential blackmail material in amusement. She'll never let him live this down.

"I stormsvarte fjell, jeg vandrer alene."

"You might wanna look this way, lovergirl." Jac laughed, nudging Ash.

Ash snapped out of her thoughts and look up from the table. Time had stopped.

The ocean. The sky. Hell, even the glow of the Tesseract couldn't compare to the blue eyes she saw.

He set out the bait, and she fell for him. Hook, line, and sinker.

"Over isbreen tar jeg meg frem."

Ash was shocked. It was the song they had sang together as kids. She hadn't heard this song in what seemed like a lifetime.

She kept on looking into his eyes, entranced.

His eyes were mostly unreadable, but he had never looked at her the way he is now.

Usually, it was a look of contempt, but this was different. And she liked it.

Her face was full of wonder and nostalgia nonetheless, her bejeweled eyes overjoyed as well.

He too, fell for her. Hook, line, and sinker.

"I eplehagen står moyen den vene."

Jack extended his hand to her.

'Me? A fair maiden? HAS HE LOST HIS BLOODY MIND??' Ash panicked.

Nonetheless, she took his hand. Jack brought her to the center of the room. Hand in hand, he brought his hand to her waist and they waltzed.

"Og synger..."

Jack looked at her expectantly, as well as the rest of the room.

"For old times sake?" Jack whispered in her ear.

With eyes the size of saucers, she was speechless, but she relented.

She sighed, as she sang the last few words to the song she once lovingly sang long ago.

"Når kommer du hjem?"

Her gentle voice filled the room.

The two shared a look.

Jack lifted Ash's hand and kissed the back of it.

In the back of her mind, Ash felt that she was forgetting something important, as she was spun back to her seat.

Jack whipped around and then began the fast paced, blood pumping beat once again.

"Men traner danser og fossene stanser når hun synger, hun synger, 'Kom hjem'!"

Oh right. He was drunk.

'Oh gods I forgot he was drunk, leave it up to good ol' Ash to forget it. UGHHH.' Ash internally facepalmed.

Jacintha was thoroughly amused throughout the whole thing. It was obvious these two were pining for each other. Too bad they're both too much of an idiot to see that they like each other.

The ballad was finally finished as Jack shouts, "To Ash everyone!!"

The room was full of cheers.

'Was he always this... charming? And pretty? Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no, OH GODS NO- ODIN PLEASE NO.' Ash thought in complete horror.

Jacintha cackled at Ash's petrified expression.
She wheezed after seeing Jack's face with the same exact one.

They had finally come to the same realization.
