A heart like fire.
The burning passion of love and success,
The flickering light of a fireplace that keeps you warm in chilly weather.
Or the pure rage of wrath and anger,
The roaring flames of a forest fire that burns you to the ground. You're warm...but there's a reason we don't play with fire...
A beast like soul.
The playful puppy so small and innocent,
Thirsting for affection and approval from it's master.
Or the proud lion so grand and powerful,
Stalking it's prey and hunting them down. You're wild...but we've all been taught to stay away from wild animals...
Pain expressed through art.
Black ink tears that stream down the canvas,
Cries of help poured into melody,
Silent screams of agony in rhyme and riddles,
Gushing rivers of sadness that drip from your arms. You're beautiful...but in museums we're not allowed to touch the masterpieces...
A sea of emotions
Tears of your sadness, your breakdowns and sorrows,
Lonely eyes of pushing your loved ones away,
Your lips longing to say 'I love you too'
But heart too scared to be scarred. You're drowning...but we're all told to swim in between the flags....
The freedom you crave
A chance to escape, to be safe, to be free
You sit and wait in hope for the one who will save you
But you understand
Nobody will sacrifice themselves to let a demon survive
