Saving Our Future

Everyone was reunited, Strange as the head of the group with Peter and James right behind him. Peter could see everyone else in the room, including Franklin and Valeria. He wished he could leave them out of this, he really didn't want to send them straight into disaster. One of them could be infected and die while doing this sudden rescue. But he would even go alone if he had to. It was his child that was on the line right now.

"I have gathered everyone here to speak of something important that has come to my attention" Peter heard the words that Stephen Strange was saying but in reality, his mind was elsewhere. He still couldn't believe how Gerald Drew... or Gerald Parker by this point, was his son in the first place. If he had to take a guess, he would say that it was all because of Miles Warren, one of his villains that was the prime suspect of having his DNA. "Thanks to Peter, we now know that the Respawn are hunting specific people. And while they are infecting everyone, not caring if they are the target or not, we must find these people that they are hunting and keep them safe from being infected"

"And? Do we have a lead on who those people are, doc?" Peter saw Electro with his hands crossed over his chest, seemingly waiting for the answer that Strange would provide them. But he didn't care about the answers or even the discussions that they were having. He only cared about saving his son from danger, and if he could save Jessica as well then it was a bonus in his book. But his mind was solely focusing on getting the hell out of the refuge and save Gerry from the clutches of death.

"Yes... Me, alongside Franklin Richards and Spider-Man, are the people that the respawned want the most. They also were looking for Illyana Rasputin, but the Respawn have already infected her" Strange communicated, making everyone minus Spider-Man shocked at the revelation. Peter could see how Karla was looking at him with slightly widened eyes, looking at him with bewilderment and curiosity in her eyes. He could only frown at the sudden interest that the blonde woman had towards him but there was no time for that right now. "But there is also someone else in this little list of people. The son of Spider-Woman, Gerald Drew... or better yet, Gerald Parker-Drew. The son of both Spider-Man and Spider-Woman"

"Really?! You and her Web-Head?" Forge shouted from the back, making Peter sigh a bit as he shook his head. It was true that Gerry may be his son with Jessica Drew, but he never got any sort of relationship with his arachnid counterpart. Though it was never for the lack of trying, it was more about that the woman seemed interested in others more than in him, so he just walked away and ignored the possible relationship he may have had with his work-wife. Though it didn't mean that he never thought about it from time to time.

"No. Never had anything with Jess. Remember that she had an insemination" Peter commented, making Forge nod his head slightly at the comment he made. Peter closed his eyes, trying to focus his mind on one thing only. On the thing he should have focused from the very beginning that he had seen Jessica's baby. He took care of him for quite some time as well! He should have been able to recognize his own flesh and blood! And now he was out there, experimenting with the perils of this apocalyptic event first hand. "Probably Warren had something to do with it. He was obsessed with my DNA to begin with"

"In any case, we must go out there and save Gerald Parker, before the Respawn get their hold on him" Stephen stated, making all of them nod. Peter was actually glad that all of them were going to help him to save his son. He gave all of them a smile, actually glad that they would help him on this endeavor. Peter watched as Franklin walked towards him and stopped in front of him and nodded at him, a determined look on his face. Peter smiled a bit further, caressing the black hair of the teen in appreciation. He looked up, determination filling his body as he saw everyone preparing for the rescue.

"So... who is ready to kill some glorified zombies?" Peter exclaimed, a smirk on his face as he saw everyone nod their faces. He was going to save his son, and there was no one that would stand in his way of actually succeeding in doing so. He would save his son, even if it would be the last thing he may do!
