Marinette never took a break, an akuma there and there. Overdue homework, essays not completed. Unfinished designs. Simple statement, she was busy. Especially since she was now the Guardian of the Miraculous.

Which is why Marinette was holding Chat Noir in her arms, while he sobs on her chest. Tears streamed down her front, wetting the shirt leaving evidence of his sadness. Chat shouldn't be here, he should be practicing his lessons, getting his homework done. Not with his well known school mate. Not ruining her night, she shouldn't have let him in. He wasn't worth the care and attention his sweet friend provided. Marinette felt more tears run down from his eyes to her shirt. She didnt care if he was getting her brand new shirt wet, not at this moment. Chat needed Marinette, not the other way around. After a few minutes his breathing was slowly coming to a normal pace. Tears came to a stop, but his tight hold on her never decreased. Chat snuggled up against her, trying to use her skin as a warming source. The trap door was still open, cold air sweeping in Marinette's room. She didn't have time to close it, since chat had clung onto her, the impact making her bottom hit the bed while chat closed the gap and hugged her tightly, sobbing and sobbing. Marinette waited a few moments, eventually she carried him to the pink sunlounger.
"How did you do it?" Chat weakly asked Marinette.
The question didn't make sense, was she the reason he was crying this badly? No it couldn't be. Last time they had spent time together as Marinette they just ended up stuffing food into their mouth and watching movies. Or was it with Ladybug? Marinette painked, did he find out Ladybug and Marinette were the same person? Was he mad at her for lying to him and was now he was sobbing in front of her, to show Marinette her guilty consequences. There was only one way to find out.
"H-How did I do what?" Marinette said with panic rising in her voice.
Please tell me you don't know
Please tell me you don't hate me
Please don't leave me, you are the only person who knows the true me."How did you manage to carry me from your bed onto the chaise Marinette ?" Chat noir softy asked, his voice sounding less weak as he started talking. Embarrassment looming over her body. She cringed at the fact that he would possibly have known she was ladybug.
"I exercise a lot. You know, extra exercise for our growing brain. Just like maman always says." Marinette answered by recalling events when her best friend Alya was akumatized. Hopefully now she was off the radar.
"Right. But I bet my abs are better than yours." Adrien said. Feeling better every time Marinette talked about her and her parents. Reminds himself that he would never have what she has. Still doesn't hurt to imagine himself in her place. Right?
"I will be the judge of that." Marinette confidently states. She brought her hand up to Chat's golden locks. Chat noir tensed at the new touch, but relaxed when he realized it was Marinette softly touching his scalp. She might have done the best massaging, since he was now purring.
A few more strokes later, his purring turned into slight snores. Chat was calmly sleeping, his arms still wrapped around Mari's waist. Never letting go. Marinette's eye became droopy, her eyelids being too heavy to leave open. Eventually she layed back down on the chaise, bringing chat on her chest. His head was now on her facing the ceiling, his leg quickly on her side. Becoming two straight poles, moving ever so slightly to warm up. Quickly the power of sleepiness had gotten Marinette, making her join chat in their much needed rest.

I woke up with a horrible feeling on my head, it kept banging and banging, urging me to wake up. I opened my eyes and the sun hit my eyes, quickly I close them. The stupid light burned my eyes. Making a mental note to never open my eyes that quickly ever again. Hold on, did I just see Marinette? I scrambled up, waking up Marinette in the process.
"Marinette, what am I.." Then it hit me, I came to her room because I was scared, sad. I was a sobbing mess. At this point I was horribly embarrassed, she saw a hero crying. Now what is she going to think of me?
I was sobbing because of the changes Gabriel had made, he lost the right to be called my father. Next week I will turn into a legal adult. Now I have to run the business I don't want in? I don't want to model my whole life. Or take in a business I have no interest in. Not only that but it's a unfair business. I don't want to follow in his footsteps.
I was planning to leave that prison once I became an adult. But then i came to a realization i have nowhere to go. With no one to stay. I can't get a place since he will probably cancel my credit cards or talk to the people who own the building and not let me buy it. He solves his fucking problems with one thing he has, money. Money is the devil. It changes people, it gives power to the worst people. Too much power can ruin families, friends, relationships and yourself. Worst part is he has ruined every single thing I just listed. Except for himself. Hopefully that's soon.
"I am so sorry Marinette. I am sorry for intruding on your sleep and your room." I said, I felt horrible that I did such things because I was feeling like shit. I should leave, she probably doesn't want anything to do with me, after all i ruin everything. I start to head to her window, trying my hardest to avoid eye contact with her. Unti I felt a soft hand wrapped around my wrist, pulling into the direction Marinette was.
"Stay." That exact word left Marinette's mouth.
