i tried using a different writing style for this book where i try to focus on idk what to call it but less dialogue and more context? words? idk. you'll understand as you read more.
i guess i tried to focus more on idk how to explain it. it just doesn't have as much dialogue as my other stories. and it has a lot more time skips.

the younger yumi looked at her son's father -- chris, who glanced back at her with tired, reddened eyes before looking away.
"we need baby names." yumi sighed, running her fingers through her hair as she glanced over at niko. he was sleeping peacefully, a tiny hand curled around his chest. "how about... niko?" she suggested, looking at her partner. "what do you think?"
"why niko?" chris asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked at her. "that's your ex's name." he added, his tone a bit accusatory.
yumi sighed softly, but calmly shook her head. "no... it's the name of the carp who turned into a majestic dragon by--"
"yeah, yeah, you've told me." chris waved her off, unimpressed. "but the kid's going to grow up thinking he's named after some guy you used to fuck."
