⭐️ A Starry Night ⭐️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Somewhere on the Moon, a small girl hurried across a brightly lit ballroom stuffed to the brim with happy dancing people. It was the annual MoonStar Kingdom Ball and of course as heir to the throne she was forced to attend. Every noble and important person was there, discussing important matters of drinking their problems away. And honestly she wanted no part of it.

Trying desperately to remain unnoticed, she quickly rushed to the balcony doors and slipped out into the cool night air. Hiking up her gown, she reached for the banister closest to the left and wrapped herself tightly around it. Silently, she slipped down the side until she was a few feet above the grassy field. Gaining up her strength, she took a deep breath and swung her leg off the banister and on to the lower ledge, closest to the ground. After following with her other leg she let go of the banister and swung herself against the wall of the palace. She reached up quickly, struggling to grab onto the veins that decorated the sides. Once she felt secure, she began slowly lowering herself down, until she dangled only a foot above the ground.

Finally she swung herself and jumped off the wall. She felt her body pull back behind her and began to panic as she realized her foot was tangled in the vine. She fell back, desperately trying to catch herself before she hit the ground. She landed with a satisfying thump on the floor and groaned, feeling a searing pain in her back.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
An unfamiliar voice chuckled behind and she quickly spun around to greet the person who dare mock her.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Who the hell are you?!" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The laughter only continued and she pouted trying to get a better look. The man stood above her, completely masked in shadow so she couldn't see his face. He was very tall and from her position on the ground, he seemed almost like a giant. Maybe he was one of the guests? From his voice he had sounded pretty young and all the other young guests were female. There was no way it was any of the staff, they were all required to be serving at the party. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fear crept over her as she realized she had no idea who this man was. What if he was a criminal or a terrorist? She was still on the palace grounds, but the area she was in was very secluded and she wondered if anyone would even hear her if she were to scream. What if he hurt her or even worse!?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She began trying to creep back, realizing how weak she felt. The laughter finally came to an end, and her whole body froze. She slowly looked up and was met with a hand outstretched to her. She blinked in surprise and looked up at the shadowed face. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Are you going to take my hand princess?" He asked her, his voice surprisingly gentle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She immediately felt calm again, his voice soothing to her. She nodded softly and grabbed onto his large hand, feeling herself gently lifted to her feet. Dusting off her dress, she returned her full attention to him, wondering just who he was. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

"What are you doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be the perfect little heir to the MoonStar throne?" He asked, his voice still laced with laughter. "I knew I would meet her today but I didn't expect her to be such a klutz!" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She frowned at the insult, but regained her posture quickly. "It's none of your business, who I am or what I SHOULD be doing!" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Oh yeah?" He asked sarcastically, finally stepping into the light.

"Yeah!- I don't even know who you-" She stopped mid word, staring at the man in front of her.

Her face flushed a bit, and she struggled to hide it. She had rarely been around guys alone, and this was a completely new experience. He was definitely her age. But why was he here?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"You want to know who I am Princess?" He asked, stepping closer to her. His large frame completely covered her, leaving her only able to stare up at him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She nodded in response staring up into his blue eyes, "Y-yeah..." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He laughed again, stepping away from her. "Jeez, why do you look so scared? You can go back in." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Something about him intrigued her and she decided to stay and learn more about him. She knew it was dangerous, but something was telling her not to leave just yet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"I'm not scared!" She yelled, pushing herself in front of him. "I just want to know who you are!" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He laughed again, reaching forward and twirling a piece of her hair. "Does it matter?" He asked, leaning closer to her.

She could feel his warm breath on her face, and felt her cheeks heat up. Who did he think he was to touch her like this? She still was royalty! She didn't even know who he was!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Just tell me who you are!" She yelled, trying to step back. She noticed that she couldn't move and realized that there was a wall behind her. She was completely trapped! All she had wanted to do was sit quietly and watch the stars by herself, and look at the situation she had gotten into! She felt like yelling or screaming at herself for getting trapped so easily! How stupid was she!?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

He leaned forward, so close to her that their noses were nearly touching. She tensed up and stared at him, waiting for him to move. She squeezed her eyes shut and took in a breath, feeling absolutely terrified. Then all of a sudden she felt the cool night air again, and the arms around her slowly release. She opened her eyes quickly and saw him now standing casually in front of her. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"My name is Haru Tsubaki, Prince of the EarthStar Kingdom." He said, calmly brushing a piece of dark blue
hair out of his face. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She blinked in surprise, taking a moment to comprehend what he had said. Wait... did he just say -- Prince!? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He noticed her surprise and figured it was a good time to go. With a small chuckle, he leaned down and kissed her cheek gently. "See you soon Princess." He said walking back inside.

She stood completely frozen, her face bright red. Slowly, she turned around and watched him walk away, still completely shocked. She knew that she would definitely be seeing a lot more of the EarthStar Prince.
