"One, Two, Freddy's coming for you

Three, Four, You better lock your door

Five, Six, Grab a crucifix

Seven, Eight, Better stay up late

Nine, Ten, Never sleep again"

That is how it is in the beginning, he stays away from you but kills your friends, teachers, parents, everyone you know and love. He wants us to be like him, but we said no. We told people and then they told other people and it got viral, everyone knew who he was and what he did and does. Kids in our neighborhood went missing or randomly died in their sleep, he would scares us in our dreams. Reminding us of how he came back one day to kill us but he only got our mother, he made the mistake of coming during the week while we were at school. They say he only kills the people in the house on Elm Street or anyone who was in his past what so ever, but he followed us...we couldn't escape. Foster care sucked but we still went to school. We went to Irving Middle School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Everyone knew our past and they were scared of us. No one wanted us. We had no more family because he killed them. We still see him in our nightmares. None of the teachers wanted us in their class because they were too scared of us. Only three teachers allowed us to step foot into their classrooms Ms. Baker, Ms. Whitehall, and Mrs. Hottovy. We tried making friends but whenever we did they ended up going missing or got severely injured. So we went on, distancing ourselves from others for their own safety.

The dreams turned into nightmares. We slept in the same room together because we were scared to wake up and one of us would be missing or dead or we wouldn't wake up at all. Everyone in the foster care place thought we were crazy and at times the caretakers thought of sending us to the psych ward. The other orphans spread rumors about us that didn't even make sense yet the others believed them. The nightmares got so bad we started screaming in our sleeps. We started waking up with scratch marks up and down our arms and backs and legs. The caretakers thought we were self-harming. We knew what it was though. He was getting closer, following us through our dreams. Thats when we stopped sleeping. We would sneak into the cafeteria and get a whole bunch of coffee every night, keeping ourselves on a caffeine rush. Eventually they noticed the coffee going missing so we had to stop and come up with different ways. We would sit there and bite our fingers until they bled to focus on the pain hoping it would hide the extreme weariness. We knew we couldn't keep it up so started taking turns. One would sleep and the other would keep an eye on them. Waking them if they started tossing and turning or screaming and vise versa. The caretakers took notice and they made the decision that we couldn't stay there any longer. They were scared to approach us saying we were a threat so they put sleeping gas in the vents and then came into our room and took us. We woke up in the van.

Zoya's POV

"Sweetheart." The voice said, "Sweetheart come to daddy, I want to show you something." I jolted up knowing who that voice belonged to but I couldn't believe it. I took in my surroundings and I choked on a sob. It was the factory, the one he burned in. I recognized the pipes and boilers and his 'desk' . His photo album was opened to a picture of a little girl, maybe six or seven, with curly hair and a beautiful smile. Tears blurred my vision as I shook my head. I looked down and I was in some nightgown that was stained from laying on the dirty floor.

"I have missed you so much sweetheart." He said as he ran his knifes across the front of the closest boiler and chuckled. A terrible screeching sound erupted from where metal scratched against metal. I stumbled backwards and covered my ears with my hands and closed my eyes trying to get away from the noise.

"F-ck off you sick bastard!" I screamed over the noise, I slightly regretted the last word but not totally.

When I heard the noise end I slowly stood but didn't open my eyes and when I did his eyes were at level with me. The smell of burnt flesh almost made me gag but I knew better than to say a word in front of him. I felt the sharp point of one of the knives on his hand 'caress' my cheek and then catch a tear that was running down my cheek.
