Genshin Impact Oneshots (I Haven't Thought Of A Name Yet Lol)

A day with Xiao

Xiao and you were going out on a date today. You were excited as it wasn't often you got to go out with him as he was busy with college. After putting a lot of thought into your outfit, you decided on a loose sweater tucked into your jean shorts, a cute pair of sandals that you bought for your birthday. As for hair, you kept it simple. A plain messy bun and a headband with a flower pattern on it. Xiao told you not to pack any food as he'll be bringing all that stuff. He only asked you to bring a blanket and water for the both of you. You quickly packed your bag and checked the time.

30 minutes left. Am I properly dressed? Do I need to check my bag to see if everything is there? Actually, nevermind, I'll just read as I'm sure I've packed everything

The doorbell rang and you excitedly closed your book and jumped off the sofa and opened the door for him and threw yourself into his arms for a hug.

"Xiao! I missed you so much..." You buried yourself in the nook of his neck and kissed him.
He chuckled and hugged you back. Xiao hardly initiated physical contact such as hugs or cuddles as he wasn't used to them. But when he does, those are the best times ever.
"Are you ready to go?" He asks as he pats your head.
"Yep! Lets goooo" and you sped down the hallway like an excited child after locking the door while Xiao did his best to keep up with you, holding the picnic basket in his hand.

"So where are we going?" You ask as you sit in the car.
"It's a surprise so I'm not telling" as he starts the car.

He took you to a park that you liked a lot. "Will we be sitting there?" You asked, pointing towards a spot under a big tree.
"Nope. I found another place further ahead. I'm not sure if you've been there or not though" taking your hand, you both walk together towards the back part of the park. There was a hole in wall, which was covered by bushes and was hard to spot at first. He goes into the hole and helps you go through it as well. There was a groove of beautiful, lush green trees that towered over the both of you. After walking through the trees you reach an opening and there's a beautiful lake there with no one around. You gasp and turn to him happily "How did you find this place? It's so beautiful! Are you sure it's safe to be here alone?"
"I happened to come across it during my morning jog last week. And yes, it's totally safe. Even if something were to happen, I'd protect you so have faith and trust me" you grinned at him and hugged him tightly "Of course I trust you Xiao. Thank you for bringing me here"

You both set up the picnic spot and settle down. He opened the basket and layed the plates out and served the lunch. There were skewers, tiger fish, stir fried fillet and almond tofu too! Xiao took a lot of effort to make these dishes. He didn't know how to cook well so he asked a friend for help. Most of the work was done by him though. "Wow, these taste so good Xiao! You cooked them so well" you closed your eyes in delight and savoured each and every bite. He gave a small smile and was satisfied to see that his cooking made you happy. After eating the skewers and stir fry, he brought out the almond tofu. He made this one by himself. He's made it so many times that it's almost flawless and was sure you'd love it as you have a sweet tooth. Once lunch was finished, you both lay down on the blanket, watching the clouds roll by while talking about college and life.

"...and then Venti got caught trying to climb up the window, while drunk, past midnight. He started to recite the lines from Romeo and Juliet when Romeo climbed Juliet's balcony. He's been put in detention for a week now." You burst into laughter because you heard about a student who was put in detention for the very same reason but didn't know that was Venti. "That must've been so funny! I hope he gets out of detention soon. Too bad I missed the moment, well I'm never gonna stop teasing him about it from now on." You turned to face him and pecked him on the cheek. "I love you so much Xiao" he hugged you "I love you too" you both laid there for a while till the sun started to set.

After packing up your stuff, you head off to a drive-in movie theatre, arranged the seats and put a blanket in the trunk over them. "I've heard the movie is pretty good. It has a lot of nice reviews."

Xiao laid down and kept his arm for you to lay your head on. You snuggled up to him and covered the both of you with another blanket. As the movie went on, you dozed off to sleep in Xiao's arms while he hugged you and continued to watch the movie. Once the movie ended, he gently picked you up and put you on the backseats. After making sure you were secure and wouldn't fall off, he drove to your appartment to drop you home.

"Y/N, wake up. We've reached home." You opened your eyes and looked out the window to see your building there. After apologising for falling asleep during the movie and Xiao reassuring you that it was fine, he walked you to your apartment and made sure you closed the door properly. You peppered his face with small kisses and said goodnight.

After reaching his dormitory room, Xiao pulled his t-shirt upto his face and inhaled deeply, your scent was still here. He blushed and covered his face, while smiling softly at how beautiful you were.

Lets just saying you were doing the same thing back at your apartment. The fragrance of his cologne was still on your clothing and you loved it. Smiling into your clothes, you try to imagine a future with him and it's full of happiness and many more happy memories to come.
