'Man I got to get out of this city' I thought to myself. It was a week after I decided to start packing and leave the city for somewhere new. The news was having a field day with the police, after there was another gruesome murder that took place in a bar. The police were no where near figuring out who it was or what it was, one of the survivors of the incident had told authorities that it was the darkness.

That everything was fine and all of a sudden, it was pitch black and he couldn't see anything. All he could hear was screaming and crunching and tearing but when it was finally done, he could see what just happened and passed out. Of course no one really believed that story but that's all the police could get out of him.

Once I got home from being at the bar that day, Emily was already up, getting dressed and told me she was going to her friend's house. I told her fine but I'm leaving town and she didn't like that at all. We ended up arguing and she eventually said fine and that she will come with me, she told me that we could work on our relationship. I felt happy hearing her say that but a part of me didn't want to work it out due to what has already happened.

I was just finishing packing my clothes, when Emily told me that she was going to her friend's house to say goodbye. It hurt like hell hearing her say that, I thought we were done with that but I guess I got my hopes up. "Fine just be home tonight, with everything going on I don't want something to happen to you" I said to her. "I'll be fine, I'll be back tonight, remember to go rent the moving truck today as well" she responded. 'Fuck I forgot about that' I thought to myself.

As she left, I got my shoes on to go rent out a moving truck. With everything going on in the city I better hurry because of the murders and the authorities not knowing what to do, the city has went to shit. As I got their, I saw that they where closed and I couldn't help but be angry. 'Fuck, now what? What the fuck am I gonna do now?' I thought.

I tried looking for other rental places but nothing was open at this time. So I decided to head back home and find a new way to figure it out. As I was driving back home, I saw multiple police cars and a armored vehicle rushing pass me. 'What the hell was that about?' I got home and got to work on more packing, as I tried thinking of some way I'm gonna move this stuff out of here.

Just as it got dark out, I finished cleaning up the front room. Now all that's left is the bathroom and kitchen but I decided to take a break for tonight. I could hear a helicopter flying pass my apartment and sirens going by. 'I wonder what's going on, that's the third helicopter I've heard fly by' I thought to myself. Just as I was getting more comfortable, Emily came through the door.

"Turn on the TV now" she said in a panic. I turned it on and it was the nightly news. She sat down next to me and I could see a mark on her chest, of course the mark looked alot like a hickey. I decided to ignore it for now and watch what was going on. "For those who are just tuning in, I'll repeat again. Their will be a 10pm curfew until further notice" said the reporter.

'10pm curfew? But why?' I thought. "Due to the horrendous murders that have been taking place and the murders that happened at the local bar and dine in earlier today, the chief of police and mayor have implemented a curfew for your safety" she went on. 'So it's really gotten bad enough for them to have a curfew' I thought. She went on to explain what happened during the press conference and showed a video of someone turning into a black cloud and shoot up into the sky.

I was nervous yeah but seeing that video also intrigued me, I wondered who or what it was. The reporter went on to show coverage from the news helicopter of the riots that were going on. I looked at Emily and she seemed scared, I put my hand on her leg. "It'll be okay love, we're safe in here, as long as we follow the rules and be safe, we'll be okay." I told her.

Right as I said that her phone rang and said that she had to take this, while walking into the bedroom shutting the door behind her. I sat there, watching the news about the riots and the news continuing to show the video of whatever that was, turning into that black cloud. I decided to make some food and continued to watch the news, until I fell asleep on the couch.

The next day wasn't any different, the rental places nearby were all closed, probably because of the riots happening all over. So I decided to stay home and watch the news to keep up to date on what was happening in the city. Emily decided to stay at home as well because she was scared that she would run into that black cloud thing. All we could do is sit their and wait for this to be over, although I believe this is far from over.
