Ayye, double update ♡
There weren't many words that needed to be exchanged between the two when Seonghwa took off his shirt. His bruises had only just begun to heal, fading but the shame of how he acquired them remained. Hongjoong had seen what happened but having it displayed right in front of him filled him with much heavier grief. Knowing that he had to go through such an event by himself without Hongjoong there to protect him hurt him and made him feel like he had failed his husband.
He was afraid to so much as graze his skin but his touch was what Seonghwa needed more than anything in the world.
He brought Hongjoong into his arms, burying his head deep in the crook of his neck and waiting for him to catch on that it was okay for him to be held. Instinctively, the fire demon hugged him back, petting his head and holding him as close as possible.
When he heard Seonghwa purr, it was a small confirmation that he was doing better. But that didn't make Hongjoong any less vexed. "I'm going to kill them. I'm going to break Jinyoung's legs and shove them down Jimin's throat I swear..."
"Don't do that," Seonghwa murmured in response, much to Hongjoong's confusion. He then saw the older grin and before he knew it, he had been pushed down with Hwa hovering over him. "If you're gone, who's gonna hold me?"
"Seems like you want a little more than to just be held."
"They were so mean Joongie. You're the only one who knows how to treat me right~" His flirtatious teasing made Hongjoong stick his tongue out at him and Seonghwa chuckled.
Leaning down, Seonghwa slipped his hand under Hongjoong's chin to bring his husband into a sweet kiss. There was no rush, no lust, no aggression- it was pure bliss. There was no need for any of that when they could finally relax. Hongjoong allowed his hands to move to Seonghwa's waist, caressing his bare sides gently and earning a light whine from the older demon. "Don't tease me," he huffed.
Hongjoong chuckled at his impatience but didn't stop. "I said don't tease me, baby boy."
"Aww, but Oppa, it's fun." The pouty look he gave inevitably made Seonghwa grin as well. He rolled to his side so that he could lay next to the younger demon and Hongjoong took advantage of his position to rest his head on his chest. Sighing, he suddenly asked him, "You don't regret moving, do you?"
He had expected to wait a bit for some sort of answer but surprisingly, Seonghwa was able to reply immediately.
"Had you asked me when we first got here, I would have said yes. I hated Earth, humans are weird, I thought it would be a bad experience for San and it was cold." Hongjoong hit him for the last one.
"But being completely honest? I've grown used to it and I might go as far as to say I like it. I'll admit, time goes a lot slower here than in Hell but it makes me appreciate things a bit more. And who would have thought, San fell in love. He couldn't have done that in Hell..."
"So, you don't regret it?"
"No. Especially when my child is here. And you, the most precious and beautiful thing to come into my life. How could I regret it when you're here with me?." Both found the line rather cheesy but it didn't stop them from smiling. "And you? Do you regret it?"
Hongjoong scoffed at that question. "After our last visit? That's a hard no. I don't want to go back for a long time."
"Well wherever you choose to go, I'll follow."
"Jeez, you're so romantic. Where's the obnoxious bastard I fell in love with?" Seonghwa furrowed his brow at this statement, leaning up and moving Hongjoong off his chest. He actually seemed offended.
"Pardon me, I've always been romantic." He started with a scoff, Hongjoong rolling his eyes in response. "The better question is, where's the stone-cold bitch who slapped me in the face and threw me against a wall?"
"I wouldn't have done any of that if you hadn't provoked me!"
"Oh but you love it, you love it when I make you mad." Growling playfully, Hongjoong brought Seonghwa into another kiss, much rougher this time instead of the sweet encounter from before. The warmth of his lips shot through the older demon's body, light sparks erupting from the tips of Hongjoong's fingers when he brought him closer, devouring as much of his mouth as he could.
Taken off guard, Seonghwa's eyes went wide but they quickly shut at the level of rapture running through him. There was nothing he loved more than feeling his husband. Whether he was above or below him, he didn't care. He just needed him.
He straddled himself on Hongjoong's lap, keeping their kiss together while his hips were held down. "You're right," the fire demon murmured when they broke away to collect their breath. "I do love it. And I love you."
Seonghwa smirked at him. "I know."
"Say it back." He whined.
"Okay, okay! I love you too Hongjoong. In fact, I love you one hundred times more than you love me. Now take this thing off, I can't be the only one without a shirt on."
