I managed to get inside! After all the commotion about the princess getting poisoned, I was able to identify as Joy's protege and get inside. Some knights saw me chatting with Caleb so I had their trust.

As I walked to the hall where many people were gathered, enchanting a prayer, I finally saw him. The man that ruined my life. The hypocrite that wanted to pretend to be a saint.

I had to admit, when he started singing the Blessing to thank his Goddess, his voice was mesmerizing. I almost felt something strange, some warmth... but the mark on my chest reacted to it and started to burn painfully.

The little girl Master had poisoned suddenly woke up and ran as if she wasn't just poisoned with the most powerful poison in the world. That looked ridiculous, just how powerful is this guy?

The king walked to him and took him in his arms and as he turned around, I finally saw his face. Not at all how I imagined him. A skinny, frail looking man with very tired eyes. He's the most powerful man in the kingdom, the man who brought Wisingham to his knees. Why does he look like a poor tramp?

His clothes were worn out and had nothing precious on them. Just shabby clothes that looked too large for his body. It had his charm, he looked modest like that. I'm sure it's all part of the spectacle.

"Bless the Grand Priest! He not only managed to abolish slavery in the South but also created Holy Water!"

"He did that? But the people from the South would never accept! How did he manage that?"

"He did somehow! In Nazarion, Raykatsa and Mohraben!"

The last word echoed in Wilhelm's ears 'Mohraben? That's... that's where I'm from... is it true? How...?'

'If that's true then, was I wrong all this time? He really cares?' Wilhelm looked back at the man he despised so much. 'I have to leave, I need to get out of here before...'

The dark mark on his chest suddenly reacted. It was too late.

Wilhelm didn't know how to stop it. He felt miserable. He suddenly realized that he never stopped being a slave. After he thought he got free, he became the slave of the god he was serving and now he would kill the only one that could free him.

"NO!"

The curse left his body and reached it's goal. Amiel had used all of his powers and was unable to protect himself from what was coming.

That day, the Grand Priest was cursed with the mark of the black dragon. The most powerful man of Lyor, the protector of the people of the Goddess, collapsed.
