 2 Years Later

Cassiopeia grinned, spinning Jinx around in her arms. After her heartbreak, she had spent the time helping out her Auntie Estelle in the inn, far away from the vampire who had stolen and was still keeping captive of her heart. She had made a few friends in the human village, including a toddler called Fawn and her mother, a woman Cassiopeia’s age named Bianca.

Fawn was an adorable toddler who was two years of age. She had curly golden blonde hair that fell in ringlets up to the middle of her neck. She had enchantingly dark, dark green eyes with spirals of silver swirling inside of them. She came up to Cassiopeia’s knee and could get anyone to do anything for her with a simple pout of her lips. Fawn was a born troublemaker, always pranking and playing tricks on the unsuspecting stranger. Cassiopeia connected to her as she was half vampire; human mother, vampire father.

Bianca was the sweetest girl Cassiopeia knew. She had honey blonde hair that fell in waves, perfectly framing her heart-shaped face. Her eyes were a warm caramel brown that could warm anyone’s inside’s and make them feel happy. They had met a few weeks after Fawn was born. When Fawn was born, Bianca was practically the outcast of the village as she had given birth to Fawn when she was so young. It was frowned upon by the villagers and Bianca’s own parents had kicked her out and disowned her. Cassiopeia had offered them a place to stay in the inn and Bianca had accepted. Cassiopeia had connected to Bianca as both of their parents had disowned her, though Cassiopeia’s father had rewelcomed her to the family when she found her mate and they had found out that she was so powerful.

Back then, Bianca looked so broken which was how Cassiopeia felt. Apparently, she had had a one-night stand with a handsome vampire and had loved him. She didn’t realise that Fawn might come along if she wasn’t careful. Cassiopeia knew that Bianca still loved him, though but promised that if she ever got the chance to meet him, she would use her powers on him to make him hurt as much as she hurt them both; Bianca having to raise a child on her own and Fawn having to grow up without a father and hide herself from the village for the fear of being persecuted for being half-vampire.

Now, Bianca helped Auntie Estelle run the inn.

They were both happy and Cassiopeia hoped it stayed that way.

Cassiopeia was snapped out of her daydream by a slight tugging on her skirts.

She kneeled down up to Fawn’s height.

“Hello Fawnie!”

“Cwathi! Wher’ are ywo gwoing?” Fawn lisped cutely.

“I am going to the market, darling.” Cassiopeia beamed at her.

“Cwann Fawn come?” She giggled.

“Ask your mother, dear.”

“Alwight!” Fawn ran off to beg her mother.

“Can I come?” Jinx begged.

“I would but we can’t risk getting caught. I don’t want to be hanged because I let my fox familliar go shopping with me, confirming that I am a witch.” Cassiopeia frowned.

Jinx sighed, “Well, it was worth a try!”

“Mummy says no!” Fawn wailed.

“Awwwwwwww, Fawnie....” Cassiopeia pinched her cheeks, giving her a bear hug, “Why don’t you keep Jinx company.”

Jinx and Fawn were partners in the art of troublemaking. They got along extremely well, even finishing off each other’s sentences. Really, they were the best of friends!
