Sungchan POV
I was with my brother, who was teaching me about different ways to handle requests and solve problems about the kingdom.
A guard rushes in the room with a scroll in hand.
"Your Highness, you might want to see this." He says passing the scroll to me.
Unwrapping the ribbon, I open the paper and lay it on the table, the contents truly shock me.
"No Way!" I whisper under my breath.
Reading the lines over and over again, I stand up and address my brother, "hyung, please excuse me."
With a bow, I rush out of the palace into the woods, where Hyejins house was situated.Continously knocking the door and shouting her name, I kept fidgeting nervously, but no one opened the door.
The next place I could think of was the bar, I saw her in the other day.
Running back into town, I barge into the bar and run up to the counter.
"Your Highness, how may we be of your assistance?" The shorter male asks.
"Where's Hyejin?" I ask out of breath.
"She left, your highness." The other one replies.
"Ugh, how long ago?"
"You won't be able to reach her now, she must've already gone halfway."
"Did-did you know about this?" I ask.
"Ofcourse your highness, she's like a younger sister to us." The shorter male replies.
"I-i see. Thank you anyway."
Sulking, I leave the bar and drag myself back to the palace. Climbing up to my room, I plop down on my bed, looking up at the ceiling.
Many thoughts and questions rushed through my head, but I didn't have answers to any of them.
I wish I had held on to her while I could.
A/n: the end is nearing. I wanted to write more, but not many people seem to like it, so I'm ending it. 💙💛
