The kingdom of Genovia was not different from another kingdom in Alsace. It was always included in wars and its women were always in danger of being harassed by the so called mighty ones. In this brutal world lived a pure delicate soul- Katherine.

Katherine was a wise girl. She was an intellect and creativity ran through her veins. She would always love to paint, create something new, write novel stories and used to indulge into great metaphors. Frank Kafka was her favorite. Followed by Fyodor Dostoevsky and Friedrich Neitzsche. Even though she was highly talented and pure by heart she lived with a curse. The curse of being a woman in the state of Genovia. It was a small but very influential kingdom in Alsace. Influential as in politically. Socially it was a hell for its women and men. Because of all the wars, men were usually out and women were always under the threat of being raped or forcefully being married to the king's soldiers.

The king was believed to be a brutal man but his charms impressed all and his beauty was honored by each one. Every girl in the kingdom dreamed of being his mistress. He had a strong jaw lovely cheek bones and beautiful eyes. But the king was a lover of the body not soul. For he had slept with many and once he was bored of the body he would make sure it was never seen again. Even after this cruel fact every girl desired to be his for his fortune for a while seemed better than the brutal poor lives they lived here.

Everyone but Katherine was impressed by his mighty stories. She being a reader of dark metaphors by Fyodor was a hater of these so called rulers and mighty kings. She hated him by soul and wanted to live a life of dignity. She was under a veil of false dreams of running away to far away lands to live her life and paint and travel as much as she wanted. Find love and fall in love with the idea of love. She wanted to spend hours just cuddling her loved one. The one who would understand her and give her all the love she deserved.

Katherine was a beauty and not only by soul. She had a beautiful body and she feared running into any soldiers or the king. For she didn't want her dreams broken.

Katherine was 19 and she had to earn money in order to run her family which included her, her brutal father and her little brother Jacob. She worked at a shoe makers shop. The shoe maker was a greedy man and used false material of cheep quality and sold it at irrational price. Katherine always worked hard but one thing or other led to punishments. Either form her father or the shoe maker.

Katherine was a lover of art and kept on imaging her dream of running away one day and one day when she was busy on a swing thinking all about it. She was snapped out of her dreams just as she heard sounds.... Of horses.... And she knew just what who it was. And to save herself from being seen by the mighty one she had to run from there as fast as she could but will it be good for her? Will she be able to run off and hide her beauty from the beast? Or will it be the end of her dreams?
