The boy with the deep brown eyes and light skin walked slowly down the halls of the school building. His head was hung low and his eyes mesmerized by the speed of his walk.

"Watch out, fag." A voice was heard when he accidentally made contact with someone. He sighed to himself, pressing his lips into a straight line and continued on until he reached first class of the day. Maths.

A small groan left his lips as he sat down in the blue chair. He took out multiple books and paper along with some pencils and erasers. He wasn't all too good at math, but he was okay, still barely passing.

"Hey, do you have a pencil?" A voice was heard and a presence felt. However, the boy figured that the girl was talking to another peer. But she still stood. "Jc? Is that your name? I'm not sure, but um...pencil? By any chance?" At the call of his name, Jc looked up to see a somewhat familiar girl standing in front of him.

"Uhh, yeah..." He mumbled, pulling his sleeves down over his hands, this being a bad habit, even before the self harming occurred.

"Well um, can I like...barrow it?" The girl questioned with an amused look on her features.

Jc blinked.

"Oh, um yeah yeah, sorry..." Jc mentally face-palmed as he went through his pencil pouch, digging out a new pencil and handing it to the girl. She smiled and thanked him, then walking to the back of the classroom, not too far away, and taking a seat.

The boy didn't think much of the situation before looking to the front of the classroom to see the teacher, Mrs. Zinger, standing beside the board.

Mrs. Zinger was a nice lady over all, she wasn't too old either, just out of collage about a year or two ago and is now teaching high school students. She had light brown hair with light green eyes and dark skin. She was very beautiful, and sweet, so it was a plus to have her as a first period teacher.

As the day went on Jc became more and more exhausted. It was lunch now, and he was sitting at his usual table alone. He wore a big hoodie with somewhat tight skinny jeans. His hair was styled as usual, not much done to it, and glasses sat upon the bridge of his nose.

"Hey." A voice was heard, causing Jc to turn his attention to the familiar voice. The girl from Maths was standing there awkwardly. "My friends ditched me, so um, can I sit with you? It's okay if not y'know.." But much to her surprise, Jc just nodded and sat up awkwardly.

He was surprised by this, but just let it happen. "So, why are you sitting alone?" She questioned. Jc just shrugged.

"Nobody wants to sit with me..." He responded with a tad of sad laughter. At this, the girl furrowed her eyebrows.

"Well that's nonsense." She shook her head in confusion. "Oh, I'm Walker by the way." The girl, now known as Walker, stated with a small smile.

"Cool, I'm Jc...obviously..." Jc laughed at his small little joke, looking up to Walker who held an amused look.

"Cool." She responded, and that was the end of that conversation.

For the rest of the lunch period, which was only about 45 minutes long, the two sat awkwardly, not knowing really what to talk about.

They were glad when the class bell rang, and stood up from where they sat, throwing out their trays and walking out of the doors.

Suddenly, a shout was heard. "Bye, Jc! See you tomorrow!" Walker shouted. Jc smiled a genuine smile and waved.

Today was a good day so far.
