Chapter 9
No one POV
V held up one of the pictures with a girl wearing her school uniform and took a deep breath. He looked at the distant forcing his mind to find a good story to tell and then he sigh.
"Her name is Ara. Kang Ara and I called her Ara Noona because she is 3 years older than me. Our parents are closed friends so when her mother went to New York to work she was left behind and stay here to pursue her study, she want to leave korea with her mom but she also understand that they don't have enough money for both of them to survive in a foreign country. " - V started to tell his story about a girl named Ara and that night Miaka feels like Ara and Taehyung had a strong tie connected to each other as she found out how close they are.
V also mentioned how Ara take care of him when he got bullied in school, how Suga, Jin and J-hope hate her in no particular reason, How Jungkook and Jimin adore her and how Rapmon fell inlove with her. Miaka laughed along with V whenever V talked about the times when Rapmon failed to court her Ara noona and how Ara find a way to annoy her dongsaengs.
"She left two years ago, She want to pursue her studies for college that's why she moved out, she said she is capable to handle herself alone so her mom let her to be independent." - He finished his story. Miaka looked up to him with a confused face.
"Don't you have any way to communicate to her? I wonder how she is today." - Miaka.
"Well I broke my phone and I can't buy new." - A lame excused is only V can stated. "I also wonder how she is today. I... miss her." - He continued and whisper the last sentence.
Miaka is still looking at V, studying his face for any emotion, she frowned and asked again. "How about your parents? I bet they still communicate with each other."
V looked at her then roamed his eyes around before he said "Nah! I'm not really sure about it."
Then again Miaka open her mouth to counter V as she's confused on V's actions and words but before she can speak a word, V pinched both of her cheek and she gasped in surprise.
"Yah! Don't ask anything okay? I lost contact to her a year ago so don't wonder about anything about her, I bet she's fine." - He said while pulling miakas' cheek.
Miaka slapped V's arm so that he will release her cheeks but it only happened when he finish saying his word and let out a chuckle afterwards.
"It hurts you know?" - Miaka slapped Vs' arm stronger this time as her eyes watered from the pain that she felt in her cheeks but V laughed hysterically.
"Don't you think that.... maybe she's dead already?" - Miaka's statement put a halt on Vs' laughter automatically, he turned around to look at her with a shocked written on his face.
"Mi..Miaka! What made you think about that?" - V screamed in whisper wanting Miaka to answer his question immediately. On the other hand, Miaka was not surprised with Vs' reaction as she know that it will offend him after hearing that Ara story.
"Because... because I told you right? I told you that I saw her in my dreams and I feel like she's haunting me but..... but why me?" - Miaka quivered under her words, she don't want to believe her words that Taehyungs' noona is haunting her especially that she can't find a reason why she would haunt her and it is also senseless because she don't really know if Ara is alive or what, but the thought that Ara and V did not communicate with each other despite the closeness that they had, makes her so scared that it might give sense.
V saw how Miaka shuddered from her thoughts and how confused she was, he want to slapped her to bring her back to her sense but he can't afford to hurt Miaka, atleast not physically, he grabbed both of her shoulders and shook it as hard as he could. He also can't find a way to believe what Miaka's stated and wonder why Miaka thought about those unbelieving scenarios.
