Chapter 1

"Please don't do this" she begged.

"You mean nothing to me. I pity you. I pity you and your siblings" he angrily said.

"Why aren't you listening to me?! I'm telling you that I love you" she sobbed.

"Well I don't love you" he said pushing her out of the way.

"I can't live without him, Kirna" she sobbed in her sister's arms.

"Di, run away. Just run away and come back when I tell you to, okay?" Kirna said. She pulled off her and stared in shock.

"Di, if you stay here, you'll torture yourself by seeing him with her"

She nodded and packed my things.

"Tell, Naman, Hargun and Gurleen I love them" She hugged her sister

"I will. Now go before someone comes back"

I ran out of the house I grew up in, to never return

Life is a cruel thing. When you love someone, they hurt you beyond repair.

Reyansh broke Tanvi beyond repair.

It's been three years. Tanvi still believes that he and Disha must be so happy together. They must have a child by now. Maybe even two.

"Massi!" Simran ran into her room. "Massi, why are you crying?"

She wiped her tears and pulled the child onto her lap.

"I'm missing my sister's baby" she smiled.

"Why don't you go see them?" She asked in her cute, baby voice.

"I can't baby. I wish I could but I can't" Tanvi sniffled.

Before either of them could say anything the door opened.

"They're are my two favorite girls!" Karan jumped in front of them.

"Mamu!" Simran exclaimed before running to hug Karan.

Karan is Tanvi's best friend and Simran is his niece. Simran's parents died when she was just a month old, so Karan and Tanvi became her legal guardians.

Karan and Tanvi would never go out with each other. They know too much about each other to do so.

Karan owns the biggest hotel chain in India as a whole.

"Mamu, massi is missing her sisters" Simran pointed out.

"It's ok bacha. Everyone misses someone" Karan said as he smiled at Tanvi.

"KIRNA KIRNA KIRNA" Tanvi's phone started ringing.

"Hey Kirna" she tried to sound as if she hadn't been crying.

"Hargun and Leena found out why you left," Roop said, panicking.

"How?!" Tanvi shouted.

"They read the diary"

The diary is the place Tanvi used to write her feelings. It has everything she ever felt in there.

"Burn that diary," she said.

"Okay," Kirna paused. "You've been hiding the truth from us all this time!" Hargun's voice boom in the back.
"I'll call you later," Kirna said before hanging up.

This isn't good. This isn't good. If anyone else finds out that I ran away because of Reyansh, they won't spare me or him. Not that I care about him. I'm just worried about his child if he has one, Tanvi thought

"What happened, Mirchi?" Karan asked.

She started hyperventilating.

She couldn't hear what he was saying anymore. She saw him put Simran down and grab her shoulders.

He pulled her close to his chest.

"Shh. It'll be okay" he said with a calming voice.

It took some time but she eventually calmed down.

"Let's go out for dinner tonight" he suggested.

"Yay! I want McDonald's" Simran shouted.

"Let's go" she smiled and grabbed her purse.

"Hi, I'll have 2 Mcchicken sandwiches and one happy meal" Karan ordered through the drive-through.

"Anything else?" The cashier asked in a flirtatious tone.

"And 2 large Sprites" he added.

"Your total will be 70 rupees" Karan handed her the money before driving to the next stop.

Simran and Tanvi started laughing.

"Why are you guys laughing?" He asked, clearly clueless.

"That...girl was...flirting...with you," Tanvi said between laughs.

"Ha, ha, very funny," he said with sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"I'm sorry Karu" Tanvi pouted.

"Don't do that" he warned. She gave him the puppy dog eyes, still pouting. "Ugh! Girls are so difficult!" He exclaimed.

"Hey!" Tanvi and Simran shouted.

"Here is your order" the cashier from earlier handed them their food.

Tanvi thanked her before Karan pulled into the parking lot.

"Just don't spoil my car. It's my baby" Karan stopped us before they could put a bite in their mouths.

All of a sudden, Simran dropped her nugget on to the seat.

Karan's face fell. Tanvi cleared her throat to stop a laugh.

"Sorry mamu" Simran pouted. Tanvi couldn't control it anymore. She slammed her knees and continued laughing.

"It's not funny" he grumbled.

"Yes, it is" she laughed. "Don't worry Simi. Just eat, I'll clean it up later" she said after she stopped laughing.

"Who wants kulfi's?" Karan asked.

"Me!" Simran and Tanvi exclaimed.

We hopped out of the car and I carried Simi.

"I'll take 3 kulfi's," Karan told the uncle.

Uncle handed us the kulfi's and Karan paid him.

"Don't spoil your clothes" Tanvi told Simran.

"Okay massi" she chirped before digging into her ice cream.

"You good?" Karan asked Tanvi.

A small smile formed on her face. "I miss them but I know we'll be together one day. For now, I'm focused on my family"
