Genius vs. Girl

A mysterious, smart, creepy, serious, silent guy named Tyle and an energetic, cheerful, sweet, smart, funny girl named Chi.
When two different worlds collide when two brains battle but two hearts become as one what would happen to that two people.
Tyle Ryans isn’t just smart, he’s a genius, he’s the smartest in their class, he loves studying and never in his life did he fail in a quiz, exam, seatwork and etc. He never lost in a competition when it comes to being smart like: spelling bees, quiz bee, triathlon, battle of the brains etc.
Tyle is very serious and moody but he has a very charming look that girls adore and fall for but he’s obnoxious because of his nasty attitude. He’s a girl-hater, he doesn’t like girl but he sure would fall for a girl that could beat him someday.
A quirky girl named Chi Vinci, she’s cute, popular and everybody loves her, not only she’s cute but she also has a bubbly and lovable personality. She comes second place when it comes to intelligence because Tyle’s always first when it comes to those kind of stuff.
But can a genius answer all the questions? Of course not! But can a genius answer one simple question that is related to the ‘thing’ he fears most?
Is intelligence everything? Well it’s not because when we use our brain, we also have to ask our heart because sometimes the brain is wrong, so we have to follow our heart.
Sitting on her armchair and looking calmly, Chi was writing her questions on her notebook. She’s preparing for the battle of the brains and her opponent is none other Tyle Ryans.
She composed herself and then took a bite of her chocolate bar. While on the other hand Tyle is re-reading his questions. Everyone is excited because of the battle, even though Tyle is the top student in their class; a face to face competition would really show how intelligent the students are.
The gymnasium is set where the competition will be held. “High School Department, Third year Star Section students Mr. Tyle Ryans versus Ms. Chi Vinci”, the emcee called the students. Then the competition started.
The questions made by students are the questions for their opponents. The question asked to the opponent should be connected to their previous lessons in any of their subjects, opponent should give their best answer if not the other opponent should give a better answer and the judges shall decide who will win.
The completion between the two was getting more and more intense as they answer the questions asked by their opponent. Chi was getting nervous but she still managed to wear a smile on her face while Tyle has his serious face as always.
30 minutes have passed and the competition is still on-going, Chi is almost out of questions to ask but she saved her favorite question for last, it was a simple question yet you need to have deep mind to answer it.
After Chi answered Tyle’s questions about the Evoulution Theory by Charles Darwin, Tyle smirked which made the audience cheer because most people watching are Tyle’s fans. Chi felt chills in her body and got more nervous.
“So Mr. Ryans” she said formally “I wan’t you to give me the best definition of the word Love. In other words, what is Love?” Chi asked, this question was approved by the judges because it was connected to their Values Education subject. That was Chi’s last question.
Tyle gulped and answered formally “Love is a feeling, a strong positive emotion of regard and affection. More specifically worship, admire, adore. In easy words it’s the opposite of hate.” He was uneasy because of the question.
Chi smiled, showing her pearly white teeth at Tyle and said “Sorry Mister Ryans but your answer wasn’t good enough” then she looked at the judges while still wearing a sweet smile on her face while Tyle’s hand was shaking because of anxiety.
“Give us better answer and we’ll make a decision” said by one of the judges. Chi walked down from her platform and gracefully walked towards Tyle.
“Your answer would pass if you simple answered; God is Love. Another great answer is that love cannot really be defined, love is just what we naturally feel”, she stopped in front of Tyle then her smile got wider.
“Example; like when you answered my question a while ago, some answers are known by our heart which the mind doesn’t. Love cannot be defined because once it’s defined it’s not love”, then Chi faced the judges again.
The judges were making their decision and the audience were shocked by what just happened. Tyle got more nervous and was afraid of the upcoming result.
One of the judges stood up and said “Mr. Ryans’ Answer for the last question was indeed right but we agree with Ms. Chi’s answer”, the judge said the other judge stood up and said “Therefore the winner is Ms. Vinci! A new battle of the brains Princess”.
A new Princess because Tyle lost his throne was given to Chi. Everyone was shocked especially Tyle, he couldn’t believe that he LOST!
When the competition ended Tyle was still at the gym drinking water while holding a book. He saw Chi walking towards him, he felt weird when his heartbeat got faster.
“Hi” Chi said and then sat beside him. “Congratulations” Tyle said. There was an awkward moment of silence. “I think I’m starting to fall for you” Tyle said out of the blue. Chi was confused of what Tyle said but just smiled.
“I lost, for the first time. Now I think I’m really starting to know what love really means” Tyle said again. “Huh?” Chi said with a confused face. Tyle faced Chi and said “I’m starting to fall for you, you’re right. My mind doesn’t know I’m in love but my heart told me that I am. For me the definition of Love is simply YOU”.
