'Fuck me', Jungkook thought as soon as he saw her.
She was wearing a midnight blue cocktail dress that came up to her knees, with her shoulders exposed putting her milky white skin on display. Her long honey-brown hair had been curled into soft beach waves. The way she looked at him with her bold eyes made him feel like she could see right through him. Staring into her grey eyes was like drowning into the Pacific Ocean, having lost the ability to swim back to the shore. But the feature that stood out the most were her blood-red lips. They were alluring to the eyes of the beholder, but dangerously addictive like a psychedelic drug if kissed. The voice that came out of them was low and seductive, soothing to the ears but capable enough to make a man weak in the knees.
"I-It's o-okay. I decided to arrive a little early", he replied.
'Why did I stutter? Argh! Great first impression JK', he mentally cursed at himself.
He was absolutely stunned when Hyejin placed her palm on his and gave it a little squeeze saying, "It's okay to be nervous. I'm nervous about this date as well." She gave him a million-dollar smile making his heart run a thousand miles-an-hour. He visibly relaxed in his seat and felt like he had gained back some of his confidence. Giving her a light smirk he complimented her, "I was just stunned by your beauty. Anyone would get nervous if their date was as beautiful as you."
Hyejin was a little surprised by the change in his demeanor. He had suddenly turned into a womanizer, but she didn't mind that, since this confident coquettish attitude seemed quite appealing to her. "Thank you Jungkook", she replied with a smile of her own.
The lunch date went way better than the both of them had imagined. To Jungkook she seemed like his ideal woman, self-confident, independent and strong-willed but at the same time humble, caring and very understanding. She too felt the same towards Jungkook. He was a hardworking man who had received a lot of fame and money, but that had never affected his attitude towards the others. He was humble and down-to-earth as well as cute and affectionate, clingy like a child at times, but also serious and responsible considering the situation. He was caring and understanding, just what she wanted in a husband.
"Were you in any relationship before this? You don't have to tell me if you are not comfortable", he added hesitantly, not knowing whether it was appropriate for him to ask her about her personal matters. She sighed knowing that this situation was inevitable and that sooner or later she would have to tell him about her past relationship.
"I was in a relationship. It was the only relationship I've been in. We decided to end it sometime ago."
"Don't tell me you had to break it off because of this arrangement. Is that so?" Jungkook asked, worry etched onto his beautiful face. He did not want her to marry him unwillingly. He wanted to ensure she was just as happy as he was, before taking any decisions.
Giving him a small smile, that didn't reach her eyes, she said, "It isn't like that. We had always been polar opposites. He was the lively and adventurous one, whereas I was the calm and collected one in our relationship. We dated for five long years" She smiled to herself while recalling all her memories of her ex-boyfriend. Jungkook's felt a tinge of jealousy looking at her smile while thinking about another man.
"But we were not on the same page when it came to our future. He did not want to settle down and have a family. He wanted to live his life to the fullest, ticking every checkbox on his bucket list before he died and the idea of having a family seemed quite restricting to him, with a lot of responsibilities. I, on the other hand, had always wanted to have a family of my own. Also, knowing that I had to takeover a company, I was prepared for the day my parents would ask me to settle down. So we mutually decided to ends things. And then my parents told me about you."
Jungkook thought the guy was a fool to let her go, although he was internally thankful that they had ended things. He held onto her palm, intertwining their fingers and gave her a reassuring squeeze. His gesture was louder than words, telling her that he was sympathetic towards her, but did not want her to worry anymore, as he would love to give her all that she had wished for.
"Also you don't need to hesitate. You can ask me anything you want", she quickly added. Jungkook gave her a soft smile while slightly nodding his head.
She smirked as she continued, her statement sending chills down Jungkook's spine as he felt himself twitch in his trousers.
"After all, I belong to you now."
