THE MUTANT!!!!
Space is silent,dark and cold.
It was the year 2100. The universe was slow because of the bend in time. In an undiscovered galaxy, two planets, Sedna and Eris were about to collide due to the strong gravitational pull and the sudden cease of the universe that was expanding. The explosion of the planets would cause a supernova leading to a very dense black hole. But one group had an idea to save their unique species from extinction. In that final hour before the collision, people were running hysterically and in panic.
" People, don't run. We need to save our RACE!" shouted the leaders.
"Well, how do we achieve this?!" the angry voice screamed out from the large and packed crowd.There was an eerie silence for a few minutes.Then a voice cried out."I have a plan!"...........
The group launched the egg pod into space at the speed of light. The emerging wormhole lead to; the agreed destination... Earth. It had to break at the speed of light but there was not even a tiny crack on the surface of the egg. Through the Earth' s atmosphere, the egg caught fire. The ball of flames hit the rough ground in a big "boom!". You could hear a sound; it seemed like an egg was cracking... A horrifying tiny creature sat at the bottom of the remains of the burnt eggshell.
It had gnashing filthy brown teeth, sunken and gloomy eyes - thick legs coated with what seemed like a mushy green substance. A disgusting face covered with multi coloured eyes. Something was odd about the creature and it's presence was so strong - remember how you feel when someone is right behind you and you don't know who it is? It smelled like it hadn't showered for days, the smell could have wiped out anyone as close as 5 metres to as far as 3 miles. It looked puzzled but at the same time it grinned slyly. The creature was up to something, something very fishy...
Downtown, people were doing their daily jobs as if nothing had happened, and the children were going to school like a normal day on Earth, not suspecting a thing. As it crawled out the egg, time passed. Then people started to notice the creature, but due to the mist it looked completely different than what it actually looked like. The mist was a thick, smoggy cloud which could block a vision from the human eye and change it to a completely different thing. It could totally fool the naked eye. Only a few people were able to see through what
it really was.
The creature slowly crept up towards the peaceful town. It then let out a piercing screech which trickled down the spines of the frightened residents. As the surprised people stood on the spot petrified, the newborn extraterrestrial crawled towards the horrified victims. It shot out a thin,dangerous laser beam that paralysed the people and started to spread a disease which became known as the FLARE!
The FLARE was a contagious disease which would turn you into a dangerous and uncivilised creature. The symptoms that people would have were skin ripping, people would slowly become insane, they would have no emotions or feelings and would soon rot and die due to the sucking of the brain. The disease started to cascade like a raging waterfall heading downwards with no control. Every nation started to carry out emergency drills to prepare against this inevitable and unsparing enemy. People started to fear the disease because they knew that it was incurable and that maybe the human race would go extinct in just a matter of time. A month had passed and surprisingly there were still a few people left. The Earth was a wasteland and it was an odd feeling to just be alive.
For months nothing got better until one day, on my way to work, I was approached by a person..... He said that he was working for a secret government organisation to save us from the infectious disease which was the "FLARE". The name of the organisation was RID (Research and Intelligence Department).
He also said that their job was to find the cure and kill the Armageddon which was what they called the creature. I asked them what they were all so excited about and they said that they needed to find a cure to save the people from the fierce disease that slowly was beginning to kill hundreds of innocent people and today was the day they were going to use one of the patients and test the cure. I wasn't as hopeful as them because it was kind of obvious that this disease was unbeatable due to the rate of people dieing in every country. Scientists had calculated that one in every two people was going to get infected. Now the most important goal was to find a cure to the "FLARE".
Their second goal would be killing the Armageddon if the cure didn't work out as expected. Killing the Armageddon would stop the disease from spreading and victory would be in their hands. First They had to test the cure. It was just two minutes before the life changing operation begun. This would test the faith of all the employees who worked so hard to make a cure for the most infectious and deadly virus known to mankind.
The vaccine included a drop of benzethonium chloride, 5 teaspoons of Amorphous aluminum hydroxyphosphate sulfate and a pinch of β-propiolactone.
The operation had begun and it was game on. A brave scientist had to battle what looked like a crazy patient. The patient's eyes were full of madness and there was a look that only I could tell he was up to no good. His skin was pale and shriveled like a sun dried prune and his shirt was ragged and stained with what looked like dried blood. He had piranha like teeth and it was disgusting. His breath stank, it was so bad that it could make an average person unconscious.
The scientist safely picked up a long pointy needle that contained a purple bubbling substance which would make you want to throw
up just looking at it. As the needle came closer, the victim started to panic and scream piercingly calling for help. Worried, the scientist jabbed the needle into the infected patients arm and injected the cure into his bloodstream.The whole room fell silent.
Minutes past and the patient looked unconscious. We had no idea if the cure had worked or fail. In a blink of an eye the patient woke up breathing heavily. "The cure has worked!" shouted a scientist. After those few words the members of RID cheered with joy knowing that they could save the human race.
They had already accomplished their first step, but now it was time to face the hardest phase; Killing the vicious and venom spreading Armageddon.....
