Decaying Heart

Ally

After a couple days, it has been nothing but chaos in this rotten city. The police have been scattered thin and I've heard talk, that the military may be coming into the city to contain it. 'I wonder what Looney is doing right now' I thought. I was walking down a back alleyway, when I heard a couple guys yell at me.

"Hey, what do you think your doing on our turf!" Shouted the man. I looked up and saw three guys in front of me. "He asked you a question or are you deaf?" Called out the other. I smiled and closed my eyes, feeling my surroundings, I could sense where they were standing. I opened my eyes and lunged for the closest guy and slashed at his chest, "now decay" I said, as his body started to harden.

I blew on it and his body turned to ash, floating away by the wind. "What the fuck!" Said his friend. "It would be wise to walk away" I said to them. One of the guys turned and ran away, while the other stood their frightened. I walked up to him and I could sense his fear, "your so scared, I can smell it off of you and it reeks" I told him, as I grabbed him by the throat and threw him at the wall, killing him.

I entered the street and saw the guy that ran, running towards the next road. I was gonna throw my makeshift gear shards at him, until I saw someone jump on him. The man that was running fell to the ground and was screaming for help. The guy that jumped on him was beating him and then to my surprise, ripped his head off his body.

He held it in the air, letting the blood drip all over him as he laughed hysterically. He then, drop kicked the head and it flew through a window. He laughed and held up both arms like they would do in football, indicating it was good. He looked back and forth till eventually he saw me. I could see black lines on his face and a black diamond around his left eye.

He laughed again and ran down the next street. 'What the fuck was that?' I thought. I know it was a demon, I could sense it but I wondered who it was. I continued to walk down the street towards the headless body. As I got to the end of the street, I looked both ways and saw nobody down them.

As I got to the middle of the street, I heard a voice from behind. "I finally found you demon" I turned around and saw no one their. "What is your name?" Said the voice from behind, 'what the hell' I thought and turned back around and again, saw no one. "Look up" called out the voice. I looked up and saw a black cloud and a face in the middle of it. 'This must be Abyss' I thought.

"What is your name?" He asked again. "My name is Void" I called out. He moved closer and I could see his white eyes and huge white teeth. "Your Abyss huh?" I asked him. He gave out a laugh and moved down to the road. "Yes I am, I'm here to see if your a ally or enemy" he said to me. 'Why would I be an enemy' I thought. "I'm an ally" I responded.

He smiled and got closer to me. "Your pretty strong" he said. I could smell the stench of blood coming off of him and I could sense his power. "Why did you want to find me?" I asked. "Well as you may know, I'm a demon" he responded, "and I'm looking for more demons, so we can take control of this city and eventually take control of this earth" he continued with a laugh.

After Abyss found me, we walked around talking about his plan to take over the city. He said that we need to find more demons before the military comes charging in, so that way we can eradicate them in numbers. I was walking down the street, as he floated above me to my side. "So Void, what's your ability?" He asked. "It's decay, anyone I touch, I can either make them turn to ash or rot their body, I also see how things work and because of that, I made special bombs out of chemicals mixed with my blood" I replied.

"Very impressive, can your ability only work on humans or anything you touch?" "I haven't tried it on bigger things but I did turn a riot shield into ash" I told him. "Well you'll have plenty of opportunity to try it out, me on the other hand my ability allows me to rob anyone of sight, sound and smell. On top of that I can cover wide areas of darkness, like I did at the police station" he responded.

We ended up going to a church for the night but when we got there, it had a few people in it praying. "Oh isn't this funny, praying to God right before they die by demons" Abyss chuckled. He floated up higher and started releasing his darkness into the church, to my surprise I was still able to see everything going on. As he got to work, I did the same, attacking a few of the people by the alter.

After it was over, Abyss used his darkness to lift the dead bodies and place them in a pile, in a corner. "Why was I able to see still when you unleashed your darkness?" I asked him. "I can allow anyone I want to see if I choose to" he replied. "So Void, do you know any demons that we could recruit with us?" He asked. "Well actually I do know one but I don't know where he is, he uses playing cards to kill people" I told him. "Well that sounds interesting, after we rest let's go find him" he said.
