Dear Diary,
Sitting in the Cafeteria was quite an interesting ordeal today. A whirlwind of emotions passed through me with such ferocity, it seemed exhilarating and frustrating at the same time. Most of us were done eating and having a lot of mindless chit chat. I missed the guys, they were goofy and fun, but their coach decided to snatch them away to have an 'emergency football meeting', whatever that means. The guys were the live wires, the comedians, the pranksters. These imbeciles were boring as hell.
Rysa cracked a corny Science joke about a tectonic plate bumping into another tectonic plate and it said something like, "I'm sorry, my fault." She snorted adorably giggling at her own joke. I couldn't help smiling at her lame joke, however, the rest of the girls either ignored her or rolled their eyes. Smartass Charlotte tilted her head and sarcastically said in fake optimism, "Wow! Maybe one day if you keep trying you'll be funny! Don't give up hun! I have some hope for you yet!" Hell no. She wasn't even funny.
I leaned forward, slightly slamming my hands on the lunch table," And maybe one day you'll stop being an egotistical ass, but I wouldn't hold out hope at any rate you're going." I calmly reclined myself and crossed my thick long legs. I responded in exasperation, "Ugh, I swear people who tolerate you are the real heroes, they should get a freaking award."
I have no tolerance for catfights unless I'm the one initiating it and there is no way anyone is messing with Rye. She's the only real friend I've got. She's as loyal and as good as a friend anyone can have. There is no way I'm allowing this nuisance to harrass her. Plus she's like a little bunny and everyone around her are predators. She's easy to harrass.
Char flipped me off, rolling her eyes. I grinned and said," Keep rolling your eyes, maybe one day you'll find a brain or maybe common sense. We can all dream." She stood up angrily, "Whatever, I'm leaving, this table sucks ass anyways. Any of you are welcomed to join me girls. Feel free."
"You narcissist, feed your own ego, these girls ain't got the time. No one's stupid enough to join you and please, you're welcomed to leave, you bring so much joy to everyone when you leave the room," I said flipping my strawberry blonde hair to the side. I pointed to the exit sign to anger her just a little bit more.
Charlotte roughly yanked her bag from the chair beside her and stormed her way toward the exit but I stopped her," Oh and Charlotte, disrespect me or any of these three girls again and well...I'll ruin you. You and I both know I can, especially considering what I caught you doing or specifically who I caught you doing. Small Town, everyone talks. One slip of my loose lips and everything is over for the both of you. I don't think he'll look as hot in an orange jumpsuit". Recognition at the memory immediately sinks into Charlotte's mind and the terror speedily sets into her facial features. Almost feel bad for her. She nods her head and quickly exits the Cafeteria. I chuckled but on the inside I was disgusted thinking back to what I saw.
Two months ago Charlotte and I made plans to meet up to get some ice-cream before having a sleepover with another friend of ours, Erica. The dumb bitch was a no-show. No one stood me up. There's no way, especially since I was the one holding the Golden ticket to her life and whether or not her high school experience is traumatizing.
I went to her dance studio to let her know she has a couple days before she needs to switch school. No one ditches me, I'm a good friend to have in your back pocket when you need me but don't anger me.
