" Y/N," The voice sang into my head. "Come out, come out wherever you are." They continued and I gulped.

Breathing heavily, I looked around me and I recognized that it was our old house in DC, where I used to live with my family.

I walked down the stairs cautiously as to not make any noises, the voice continued calling for my name and I could hear a distant sobs, someone was crying.

"No, don't, Y/N, baby, stay where you are..." A woman's voice stated in distress that made me more anxious.

The front door suddenly was kicked down by a girl.

"Rebecca?" I spoke quietly, my eyes darting to where she was standing then to the hallway since it was directly connected to it.

"I'm here what happened—" before she could even finish her sentence a bullet went directly to her chest and she collapsed to the ground, blood coming out of her body and I just stood there.

"Ah, there you are." The voice pulled me out of my trance as I looked back at the man standing in front of me. He had his hand on my mother's hair forcefully pulling it, and I can see my mom holding back her tears.

"Peggy?" Came from another voice. We all looked up at the doorway and it was another man already looking at Rebecca's body.

"Dad?" I called out afraid of what he'll do.

"Howard?" My mother added as we all stared at him.

"Stark nice of you to join us." The man smirked at him.

His eyes narrowed at the man holding a gun. "Let go of my wife, Schimdt."

Schimidt clicked his tongue in amusement, "Look at you, a husband of two, I bet they don't know that you have another family." He mused.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"Daddy has another family?" Jean questioned who was tied on a chair whit ropes around her body.

My sister and I looked at our mom, wanting her to tell us that it was a lie. My mother looked at me in the eye and I saw the guilt, she knew and she didn't tell us.

"Is that why you left us?" My voice was so small as I looked at my father. "Answer me." I pleaded voice breaking. "You left us for another family!"

"You told us it was because of your work." Jean followed eyes pooling with tears and I mirrored hers.

"You lied to us? The both of you?!" I yelled in anger, I never yell, especially to my family. "You made us believe that it was because of that goddamn SHIELD that you were trying to create that you couldn't balance work and family and now..." I paused taking in a deep breath. " And now you have another family." I finished, sounding small and defeated.

"I love family drama." Schimdt was smirking in amusement, still holding my mother's hair tightly.

"Y/N calm down." My mother stated. "Just breathe."

I was breathing — not in a normal way, I was hyperventilating and when I hyperventilate, my sister freaks out, I get out of control and I explode, when I do that they'll die.

"Darlings, I'm so sorry, that I —"

"Dont. Howard you'll make it worse." My mother cut him off. "Happy thoughts, just think of happy thoughts." My mother stated like a mantra trying to get me and my sister in control before it's too late.

My father didn't make a move as the gun was pointed to him. My breathing was still uneven and the room started spinning, I can no longer hear my mother's voice but I knew she's still talking since Jean was more calmer now than I am.

"Y/N look at me." My mother focused her voice.

But before I could look at her, I exploded.

I jolt up — wait no, my eyes immediatly fluttered open as I felt my body couldn't move. I look down at it and I was tied in a metal table.

"Mom?" I called out still unaware that it was just a memory. "No, I didn't do it, mom, where are you, please." I looked around the room in panic, while trying to get out of the straps.

The tears burned in my cheeks when I couldn't see anyone nor recognize the room I was in.
"Please be alive." I mumbled over and over again quietly as I become hopeless.

The machines around me were bleeping so fast same as my heartbeat. I was again hyperventilating and I didn't know what to do. I forcefully pulled the strap out of my body, immediately that my arms began to bleed.

I walked around the white room, searching for a door or a window or something that would let me out of here, but there wasn't. I kept looking around calling out for my mom and my sister, yelling as much as possible while throwing myself at the wall aiming to break it but I failed.

"LET ME OUT!" I yelled ontop of my lungs, breathing heavily. The pain was kicking in and I could feel it in every cell of my body. I was helpless. Defeated.

I positioned myself at the very corner of the room, mumbling random things under my breath as the memory played like a movie in my head. I hugged my legs up to my chest, rocking myself back and forth as a way of making things go away.

"NATASHA! You can't go in there." The man's voice bounced back but I didn't care.

"SHE NEEDS ME, FURY!" Yelled by the woman.

"We talked about this, Nat, she's dangerous, she killed Peggy—"

"I don't give a damn about your girlfriend!" The same woman spat back.

I felt a pair of arms around me, pulling me in for an embrace as they pressed their body against mine. "It's gonna be okay." She whispered. "I'm here, Natalia is here." She added softly while rubbing my back as gently as possible to calm me down.

Natalia. The voice in me repeats sounding familiar, the name, the touch, the scent, the warmth, everything, I felt safe, but there was only one thing in my mind.

"You." I grimaced as I looked at her. "You're the one who did this." I pulled away from her, backing my way up so that I wouldn't be so close. "You were there, it was you who got me here didn't you?" I demanded impetiently.

She tries to open her mouth but there was no words that came out, and all she did was look at me in guilt as if a way to confirm my accusations.

"You went through my head without my permission." I muttered to myself but somehow she still heard it.

"I'm sorry, we had to." She replied calmly.

I scoffed. "You had to? What kind of an answer is that, Natalia." I spat bitterly. "You guys are the Avengers, you should be helping people not digging into someone elses mind."

"Don't act all so innocent now, Y/N. Remember you stole the tesseract." It was now the Director of SHIELD speaking as he appeared in front of me followed by a bunch of people that kids nowadays call their 'heroes'. "And we'll do everything to get you tell us where it is."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "No."

"Y/N, don't even try to do what you're thinking." Natasha warned, her voice sounding firm as if I was her mortal anemy.

But then again, wasn't I the villain of the story?
