Complicated Love

PART 1

Your POV

"Aww crap." Yuu says in a disappointed tone after receiving his score from the exam.

"Get a 0 again did you?" I ask mockingly. He glares at me and snaps back,

"Yeah so what!? What did you get then huh?" I laugh and hold up my paper revealing my score to him and he bursts out laughing.

"You got 0!" he shouts.

"I got the same as you idiot, you can't go mocking my score when you got the same, whaddya expect anyway, I'm terrible at written exams." I reply and explode in a fit of giggles as we laugh at our horrible scores.

"What are you two laughing at then huh? Getting 0 isn't exactly funny. You need to pass these exams if you wanna become part of the imperial demon army." We hear our teacher say disapprovingly from the front of the class, which only makes us laugh some more.

RIIIIINGGGG

The bell goes and signals lunch so me, Yuu and Yoichi get up and head to the cafeteria, finding a table to sit at with our food.

"Hey, (Y/N), are you finished with your fries?" I hear Yuu ask. I nod and push them over to him,

"Here have them if you want" I say and he thanks me before grabbing multiple at a time and shoving them into his mouth which makes me laugh.

Time skip

Me and Yuu walk back to the dorms together and he waves goodbye as I enter my room.

"Night Yuu!" I call to him,

"Night!" He calls back from down the hall whilst turning his head to look at me one last time before I close the door.

I go over to my closet and pull out a pair of pyjamas and put them on before sitting on my bed. I sigh and reach over to my bedside table and pull open the drawer, taking out a piece of paper which is slightly yellowed at the edges. Sitting on my bed, I stare longingly at the photograph of the boy with blonde hair looking at me with bright blue eyes. I can feel my face is wet and find that a tear has fell from my cheek and onto the picture. I swiftly dab it off with my sleeve and kiss the photo before putting it under my pillow and drifting into unconsciousness.

I dream of that same moment 1 year ago. Reliving it in full detail.

Flash back to that moment

"Please, please just do it. I have nothing to live for anymore...other than you. But you don't feel the same things I do for you." I cry.

"No. I said I would grant one wish before I leave but I said it cannot involve your death." He replies. I look up at his perfect complexion and his soft blond hair.

"I love you but you don't feel the same way and I understand that... but I came here with nothing and nobody... Then I met you. You're different from the others, you only take as much as you need and no more. You're kind deep down and you gave me a reason to live. I couldn't hide the way I felt for you anymore and that's why I tell you everyday. I have nothing but you and now you're leaving and I will never see you again. So all I want is to die by your hands so I can see your face before I do, or I will do it myself." I say with tears cascading down my face and falling relentlessly onto the ground. I didn't actually want to die but it was the only way to end this misery.

"If you won't do that, then my wish is a kiss" I say shyly.

"You know, I can't do that because... because it's forbidden for a vampire such as me to love or show affection toward a human like you...and especially since I'm 16 and you're only 12." He says.

"No... You're wrong. I only told them I was 12 so they don't kill me. If I told them my real age then that's what they'd do."

"W-what? What are you saying (Y/N)?" He asks.

"I- I'm not 12... I'm 15" I say looking up at his beautiful face.

"S-so you're not a little kid?" He asks.

"No." I say.

"Well then... In that case." He lifts his hand to my chin and draws my face closer. " I will grant you your wish." Our lips meet and I hold him close to me before he pulls back after a few seconds.

"I love you." I say, still crying. He looks at me and smiles, wiping away my tears with his thumb.

"I have a mission for you. I want you to escape this place and find someone for me, his name is Yuichiro Hyakuya, remember, I told you about him not so long ago."

"Yuu?" I ask,

"Yes. Tell him everything. Protect him for me (Y/N). Hold him close to you and don't let go. I want him to be happy and I know you can do that." he says, tears threatening his eyes. I hug him tightly and pull back, staring into his eyes before planting a soft and quick kiss on his lips.

"Good bye (Y/N). And I love you too, but please do not hold onto me forever, I want you to move on and find someone else because I don't know if I will return. I will try my best to come find you and Yuichiro but...I cannot guarantee I will."

Tears carving rivers down my face, I look at him as he leaves and tell him, "I will find your brother because, I love you Mika."
