"Samantha, you move like a snail" I called to my best frined who was slowly making her way down the hill.

"But a fast snail" she retorted

"Not really" I replied starting to tap my foot "snails probably think you're slow"

"Lies" she says in an overly dramatic voice as she finally reaches the car. I reach over and smack Samantha in the head. She makes a scene of pretending as though I gave her a concussion or something.

"Ladies, please don't fight for my attention"

I lean over and smack the owner of the offending voice, my friend Justin.

"Dude, your sister is abusive"

I whip my head towards my brother and look him dead in the eye. A warning look. He shrugs and looks at Justin "not my problem... especially since I usually help her"

"Both of you are horrible" Samantha says looking between Tyler and me.

"Yeah, something is wrong with the Blue children." that comment came from Justin.

I smirk "have you met our father"

Tyler rolls his eyes but agrees. Tyler is tall and extremely well built. He has tanned skin and dark brooding eyes, the left eye has a small scar over it. He has the same dark hair as our father except he has his hair cut short. He is handsome but has an annoying habit f wearing a black glove on his right hand all the time.

"True" Samantha and Justin say together.

Samantha is the child of Shelton and Jasmine Devers. She has chocolate skin and light brown eyes. She needs glasses but unlike her father she prefers contacts. Her long dark hair is usually in a braid that goes down the center of her back but today it was hanging in curls down her back. She is short for her age which gives her a overall childish appearance.

Justin is the son of Hiram and Aurora Stolowitski and he is nothing like his father and mostly takes after his mother (there are some features of him that can not be traced to either one of them). He is tall, blonde and built like a bull, plus he is strong, like, really strong.

Lastly there is me, Taylor Blue youngest child of the blue family. I look just like my mother except my hair changes colors. I have long red hair that slowly turns orange the farther down you look and piercing green eyes, my skin is pale and I have a sprinkling of freckles across my nose.

"Now don't go making fun of my father" I say, Tyler gives me a look "I mean our father"

"Yeah, Ben doesn't do well with criticism"

We all turn to see my mother, Victoria Blue walking towards us.

My mother still looks like she did more than 15 years ago except for the fact that she has grown taller and just looks more mature. She still has the same bright red hair, same spunky attitude and the same green eyes.

Since none of us could drive yet our parents took turns driving us to school, today was my mom's day.

"Happy birthday Samantha" She says brightly as she joins us "How old are you now?"

"I'm fifteen" Samantha replied proudly. She was the last of us to reach fifteen. Justin had reached fifteen six months ago and Tyler and I had joined him three months later.

"Fifteen" my mother muttered, I couldn't tell if she was proud or terrified, knowing her it was probably a little bit of both.

My mother turned away from us to look in her purse, presumably to find her keys. As she was bent over you could see her visibly flinch and clutch her head, a second later she was fine. She finished looking through her bag and straightened. It was then that I noticed that my mother had slipped on a pair of dark shades.

"Why are you wearing shades?" Tyler asked, rolling his eyes from the passenger seat of the car.

"yeah mom, the sun is behind the clouds"

"Even though the sun is behind the clouds it can still hurt your eyes," She responded matter of factly "and it just so happens that the sun is hurting my eyes."

"Whatever" Tyler and I respond together.

"Let's get moving" she says climbing into the driver seat leaving Samantha, Justin and I to squeeze into the back seat.

We take off down the road towards Bolton Prepatory Academy, school for the spoiled trust fund babies. I hate it, Everyone hates it, but since all of our parents work at LIRI we go there.

"I cant believe they make us wear these stupid uniforms" Samantha comments, tugging on her skirt. Since she was younger than all of us she didnt start school untill a year after us, this was her first year at Bolton Prepatory Academy.

"Agreed" I reply, fixing my own stupid skirt.

"I actually I like it, I think I look dashing in my uniform" Justin says, puffing out his chest.

"Wow, you're thinking!" Samantha says very sarcastically

"Ha ha, don't be mean to me baby girl"

Justin calls Samantha baby girl because she is almost half a year younger than him, it also doesn't help that he stands about a foot over her.

"I've told you, don't call me that!"

"Whatever you say baby girl" Justin mocks.

"Stop making fun of the birthday girl" my mother chastised from the front seat.

"Yes Mrs. Blue" Justin says as though he hadnt been making fun of Samantha ten seconds ago.

I rolled my eyes and I could guarantee that Tyler was doing the same thing, our friends were a mess.

We fell into confortable conversation untill we hit a giant bump in the road. Everything went flying and Justin hit his head on the roof of the car. Samantha was shaken but otherwise unharmed. Tyler and I were fine and my mother was in one piece except for the fact that her shades had fallen into the back seat.

"Here you go" I said, passing her the shades

She looked back for a second so that she could grab the shades. A second was all it took.

When my mother turned around I saw that instead of her normal emerald green eyes she had glowing ice blue eyes.
