Few months after the incident, Ace finally became less possessive of Rose. He was always well known for being the towns biggest player and troublemaker. Selling drugs, getting into fights, getting laid. All the jazz. He is still a troublemaker, but not as bad as he was. All because of Rose. Even though, she wasn't a goody-two-shoes either.

Rose, Eyeball and Ace were in Irby's in their usual booth, drinking the usual beer. ''I'm gonna call Gemma. I'll meet you outside'' she informed them

''Don't be too long'' Ace replied, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

Rose nodded and got up and went to the counter where the phone was, dialling the number.

Ace watched her, making sure she would be safe. Once he was sure, the boys took their turns leaving Irby's

''You're...what'' Rose gasped ''Oh my god! I'm so happy for you'' she explained ''Awww that's such an honour thank you so much! Okay, we'll definitely visit as soon as'' Rose said excitedly through the phone

After a few minutes, she turned around to face outside. Ace had a kid on the ground, with his cigarette dangerously close to the boy's face

Rose huffed and said goodbye to Gemma, then walking outside. Ace then lifted the boy off the ground ''There'' he smiled at him ''Now I feel a whole lot better about this''

''Ace leave him alone'' she told him

''See you, kids, later'' he smirked, playfully tapping the boy's cheek

''Later girls'' Eyeball cooed as Rose lightly slapped his arm

''You guys need to stop picking on them'' Rose said as they walked down the street, to the field

''He called me an asshole so I got the gimp to take it back'' Ace said innocently

''He wasn't wrong'' Rose muttered

''Watch your mouth'' he replied, tapping her butt

''Oh yeah no offence Eyeball but I'm gonna get a professional to do my next tat, I don't want the writing to be messed up'' she nudged Eyeball playfully

''Hey I do good tats'' he looked down at her

''You can hardly spell'' she laughed

Eyeball rolled his eyes ''What's the tat gonna be anyway''

''I'm gonna get a tat of Ace's face on my tits'' she said proudly

Eyeball looked at her with a shocked and concerned look on his face. Rose looked at him with a dead-serious expression, until she couldn't hold in her laughter anymore

''I'm kidding'' she laughed ''But I am getting a tat of Ace's name on my wrist or something. And he's getting one of mine'' she said excitedly

''Okay...And who idea was this'' he asked

''Mine'' Ace spoke up while taking a puff from his cigarette

Eyeball was surprised but tried to hide it ''When will you be getting it done''

Rose shrugged ''As soon as we can get a slot'' she replied

Eyeball nodded and got in the car, Rose sat in the middle and Ace sat on the other side ''What are we doing today'' she asked them

''After we're picking up Billy and Vince to play mailbox baseball, then we gotta sell some shit'' Eyeball answered her ''Tomorrow the whole gangs coming over for a while, when they leave there's a drag race against pissy kings''

Rose nodded ''Could you drop me off at the nail salon after baseball? I'm getting my nails done and after I'm meeting up with Jen, Billy's ex'' she replied and looked over at her boyfriend ''Your quiet'' she said to him

''I'm thinking'' he replied, not looking back

''I thought I could hear the clogs turning'' she giggled slightly ''Remember to collect your social security'' she reminded him. He slung an arm around her shoulders

''Hurry up lil fuckers'' Eyeball yelled as the two boys walked to the car, both looking guilty and suspicious

''Hey Bil'' she greeted him as he jumped in the car

''Hey guys'' he greeted back

''Hey Vince, why do you look so stressed'' she asked

''Uhh nothin'' he replied

Rose raised her eyebrows slightly before turning back around

''Ah shit I'm out Godammit'' Ace groaned as the mailbox blew into a million pieces

''Shouldn't have gone for the wooden one'' Eyeball remarked

''Why don't you tell me something I don't know, asshole'' he replied to him

''Now now children'' Rose giggled

''Billy your up'' he passed Billy the bat

''Nah you guys play I don't wanna play no more'' he decline, sipping his beer

'You can't quit! We only played 3 innings that would make it a non-official game'' Eyeball complained

''Yeah plus we made a bet that if you win you get beer on the house'' Rose convinced him

''H-hey Ace uh'' Vince stuttered but was interrupted by Billy slapping his arm

Ace seemed to notice their suspicious behaviour almost right away ''What's with you homos? You've been acting psycho all day'' he turned to them ''What is it?''

It's nothing, nothing right?'' Billy replied, trying to act himself

Rose and Ace exchanged looks quickly before turning back to the boys ''Well if you gentlemen don't mind I wanna finish this game before I collect my god damn social security okay? You're up Billy'' Ace passed him the bat and Billy reluctantly took it

Rose jumped out of the car ''If you don't come back at eight sharp I'll be getting a search party'' Ace warned

Rose giggled and kissed his cheek ''Don't have your panties in a twist. I'll be fine. Bye boys''

Ace watched her walk into the store. Once he made sure she was safe, he let Eyeball drive away ''Let's go to Irby's'' Billy told them

''How many beers do we have left?'' Ace asked

'Two and a half'' Vince raised his beer slightly

''Okay but your paying, Billy. After all, you lost your bet'' Ace smirked slightly, Billy groaning in response

Vince and Billy jumped out of the car and went inside Irby's while counting their cash

Eyeball lit his cigarette and inhaled, then slowly exhaling ''So getting a tat of her name, huh?''

Ace opened a beer ''Yup''

''A tat is permament, man. What if you break up what will you do?'' he asked him

''I never thought that I'd ever say this but, she's the one'' Ace looked at his friend, with a genuine smile on his face

Eyeball smiled at him and shook his head slightly ''You must really love her, huh''

Ace nodded ''Yeah, I do'' he said in a quieter voice

''Have you told her''

''No''

''Maybe you should, but all in good time. I'm happy for you man''

Before Ace could reply, Billy and Vince jumped back in the car with a crate of beer ''We gotta save Rose a few of these, I promised her I would if I lost the bet'' Billy said

Vince rolled his eyes ''Give us one''
