"I can't get it!" Claire screamed, trying to figure out one of those nail puzzles.

"Are you serious?" I said dropping my phone, and grabbing it from her. "Watch the pro." In about 11 seconds I got it apart.

Claire's jaw dropped. "How- how ya-"

I put it back together in the same amount of seconds, then handed it back to her. I heard the doorbell ring. There was a long silence, then I heard my sister Teresa yell "I'LL GET IT!" I was satisfied. "It's one of your stupid boyfriends!" I ran out of my room and looked downstairs to see which "stupid boyfriend" it was. It was Brian.

"Hey, Becca... What's-"

He couldn't finish his sentence because my other "stupid boyfriend," Alex, came crashing into him.

"Jesus Christ Alex!" Brian shouted. "What the hell?"

"Uh..." Alex mumbled. "Brian I'm real- hey Becky! What up?!"

I giggled then went back into my room. They of course followed, and sat on my bed. Brian picked up a softball on the floor, and started tossing it in the air. "So what's up Beck?"

"Don't call me that," I protested. "My name is Rebecca. You can call me Rebecca, Becca-"

"What about Becky?" Alex jumped in.

They were really getting on my nerves. "No, Rebecca or Becca." There was a short silence.

"WOO HOO!" Claire joyfully screamed holding the two nails in the air. "I GOT IT!"

"Woah," Brian said gazing at the two pieces. "Now put em back together."

We watched her for a minute or two, trying to put the pieces back together, the. She got it.

"Can I try?" Brian asked.

"Sure-"

"Gimme!" Alex said extending his arm out to grab it.

"No!" Brian yelled. "I asked first."

Both of their fists around the nails, Claire tried to break the fight. "Guys! GUYS! Stop!"

I panicked and didn't know what to do. Just then we heard someone yell, "HANDS UP ALL OF YOU!" The person who said that was outside our window, with a mask on, pointing a gun at us. We all do as he said. The person with the gun started laughing and took his mask.

"What the hell Noah?!" Claire yelled at him.

"Ooh!" Brian cooed. "Mrs. Goodie Too-shoes swore!"

"Shut up Brian!"

Noah was the class clown at our school. He always pulls pranks on innocent people; us. I don't even know how he became our friend. Maybe Alex introduced him to us and we weren't paying attention.

"Nice one man!" Alex laughed giving Noah a high five.

"What do you want, Noah?" I asked him.

"I already got what I wanted."

"Then LEAVE!" Claire yelled.

"Alright, alright," he said waving his hands in the air. "I'll be back tomorrow, I got some plans."

I rolled my eyes as he left. Noah was... Just... Stupid. He is pretty hot, but stupid. I hate when I meet guys like that. I liked him once, before he hit puberty and became stupid. I thought puberty was the other way around. You are stupid, then you become handsome and responsible. But Noah became handsome and stupid, which ruined my life. He can be funny at times, and when he is, I fall in love with him. But like right now, I am forced not to. Claire hates him, because when he's around her, he's always stupid. He makes her temper rise.

"Rebecca!" My mum yelled from downstairs. I ran out of my room and downstairs to meet her.

"Yeah?"

"Can you go to the grocery store and get some eggs?"

"I can't... I don't have my permit yet?"

"Oh yeah... That's right..." She sat there thinking. "Can Brian drive you?"

I heard footsteps coming downstairs. It was Brian.

"Well-" I began.

"I'd be happy to Mrs. Kast," Brian quickly answered.

I slapped my forehead as a little kid would do in a movie when his parents found out that he ate the cookies they made for church.

"That would be great!" My mum said. "Can you head out now?"

"Yeah," said Brian. "I'll get those crazy other kids out of Becca's room, and we'll be on our way!"

"Perfect!" My mum yelled.

Brian was cool. But he wasn't my type. My mum liked him, she thought he was very nice. He was an average student and a great friend. But I didn't like him as much as... Well... I think he likes me.

We shoed Claire and Alex out, and we were on our way.
