It's Time

I was driving, to God knows where. I was in the country by now, and I was speeding, like 20 miles over the speed limit. So I just carried on. I didn't know where I would end up.

I always wanted to leave home. I loved my parents, but being on my own just felt right. I liked the feeling of being independent. I felt more comforted. My dad and I never really had a good relationship. He was always quiet, never talked to me or my mom. He was unsocial, and not the person to mess with.

Finally, I got to the gas station, and next to that was next to a hotel. I was now now in the city. I walked inside, and got a room for $30 dollars a month. It wasn't that bad, and I had a place to live for a month. I could deal. It was a really nice room and it had a good view. I unpacked my stuff, and got my laptop out. ( I packed my laptop to). I started looking up maps and numbers. I was going to find an absolute destination before the month ends. I had to get a job, a house, food, etc. Finding a house or apartment, could be easy, but finding a job would be hard. I was still in North Carolina, and thank God I wasn't lost.

I went to my bag to find my pop tart and my water. Then, I sat back down to think about my money. I now only have $900, and I have to use it wisely. I was sufficiently making progress. I was excited for the future. Excited to run away, to start a new life. The adventure had only begun.
