Ambrose's face shone with surprise and amusement as soon as he saw the guards laying on the floor unconscious. He hasn't spoken to the new faces yet and instead stood there in the thought of what the young girl had just said, help her? With what? "Please don't make us ask again. Our friend created some destruction so we would be able to speak to you, he might have been captured by now. We don't have much time before they sense something is up and come back."

"Who are you?" The blonde male decided to ask the most important question first, "Terra's friends. Please we need to know where she is?" Ivy begged him, coming to stand closer. Ambrose's face scrunched up, "I don't know where she is. I've been in my room since you arrived."

"This was useless we shouldn't have come here. We're just wasting time." Tan glared, "Mary find out what he knows." Mary hesitated to do what he commanded and looked over at Conner for confirmation. Conner sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Tan, the plan is not to make a commotion. If he has no idea, then there's no point in staying here. Let's go."

Ally nodded in agreement, "We have to be quick." "Maybe we'll be able to find Zack on the way." Ivy said looking around them. "Come," Conner spoke after a final glance in Ambrose's direction, "Tan." Tan scoffed, harshly exhaling before doing as he was told, walking off, not waiting up for the rest.

"Wait!" They all froze, "My father never allowed me near a certain staircase, if you guys let me go with you, I'll show you the way." Ivy hummed, "She's a mind reader." Ambrose shook his head, "She won't be able to find anything on the guards, only his secretary, Maria goes down there."

Conner turned his back to the male and tugged Ally in front of him, "What do you think?" The silver-haired female was surprised that he would ask her opinion, "There's one of him and five of us. He tries anything and we'll take him down." The decision was made, "Alright you can come with us but you try anything and you'll be dead before you can blink."

A chuckle escaped the blonde-haired male, "The guards must know something is up by now," Ambrose started, "Quick, this way." He started running down the hall.

*

"Wait here. My secretary Maria will be with you shortly." Ryan's lips pursed in confusion, he didn't quite understand why the president himself wouldn't take him, but because of his better judgement, he decided to say nothing. He watched the male turn and leave only after whispering to a woman in glasses who stopped in his path.

The woman nodded and walked towards Ryan, "Ryan." She nodded and pointed at the stairs, "Shall we?"

A few minutes of uncomfortable silence later, they stopped by an iron door, "Zion informed me that you only had five minutes but when you see her condition you'll understand why I'm going to give you thirty." Sick, was the only way of describing how the male was feeling at this moment. What she had said kept repeating in his head.

Carefully Maria grabbed onto the handle and pulled it down, the door screeched as it opened. The room was dark but not enough to damage one's eyesight, a light grey bed was pushed up against a wall with a tiny shelf above it. On the shelf there was nothing, so the point of having it there was ridiculous. Maybe they wanted it to feel more homely? As if anyone would feel at home in a place like this.

Ryan hesitantly placed one of his feet into the newly opened area, a desk and a chair were on another corner of the room, diagonally from the bed. Terra sat on the chair, but her face wasn't visible as she was laying on her arms. "Terra?" He asked but shallow breathing was the only response he got.

He walked closer and lifted his hand, placing it on her shoulder, "Terra, are you okay?" He tried once again to get a vocal answer. "Just leave me be." Ryan so relieved to finally hear the sound of his daughters voice, that he hadn't even realized how broken and pained it was.

"Thank god you're okay." His eyes closed in thanks. "You said the tests were over," Terra harshly shrugged her father's hand off of her, "You lied!"

"Wait," Terra didn't understand, "What's going on?" She struggled against the scientists who started to strap her wrists and legs down against a bed. "I gave you what you needed." They ignored her, swiftly chattering to each other. "Make sure you knock her out, she has telekinesis."

"Please." She pleaded for them to stop, but she knew by the look in their eyes they weren't going to. The hunger for knowledge would never be satisfied when it came to these scientists. "I said knock her out!" Scarlett yelled once she saw one of the scissors lifting off a desk from the corner of her eye.

A glove encased hand shoved its way into Terra's neck and a needle pierced her pale skin. "I'll do anything, please..." Her begging quietened as the light in her eyes slowly vanished.

*

"Again." Terra bit the inside of her cheek, the pain she received from doing it did nothing. "There's nothing on the computer." One of the men on the computer informed Scarlett, "There has to be something." She snapped and sighed, glaring at the female on the bed.

"Her brain looks normal...I think we should take a break." He offered his opinion. Scarlett scowled but listened, "Take her to her room. A day, that's all I'm allowing her to have. We need to find out how she survived with both the virus and cure inside her."

Scarlett went to step outside but was stopped, "She's still a child. Think of how you'd feel if you were in her place." She placed her hand on the door frame, "Maybe she was meant to live, a gift from God."
