I groaned and slapped my hand onto the alarm clock next to me and turned it off. Sprout jumped onto the nightstand and pushed my phone a little with his nose towards me. I picked my phone up and checked an unread message. No surprise to me it's from Kevin.

"Morning."

I groaned and put my phone back down, pulling the blankets off of me and standing up on my feet, stretching and yawning on my way to the kitchen. I remembered Kevin ate the last of my food yesterday so I just pulled out a glass of milk for now. I poured fresh water and cat food into Sprout's bowls and got dressed into my uniform. I applied eyeliner, winging it out and putting on mascara. Nothing special when it comes to work.

I put on a few bracelets, not all of them, and grabbed my things. I made my way downstairs and got into my car, driving off to my job. Nothing but hell.

(after work)

I walked down the long hallway to my apartment, stopping in my tracks once I saw the door was slightly open. I opened the door and saw cops and investigators all around. "Trixie!" I heard from behind me. My neighbor, Mrs. Rose, was a very sweet lady and she came in all worried from the other room with Sprout in her arms. "Mrs. Rose! What happened here?" I asked, looking around. I realized all my paintings I've done have been sliced and on the floor. All my vases and glasses I had were shattered all around the room. My furniture was all over the place and some chairs were completely knocked over and missing legs.

"Robbers, Trixie. It was about 4 of them and one had a crowbar. They found it left on your bed and they took it to see if they can catch a fingerprint. I called the cops as soon as I saw them smash in your door and poor Sprout ran out. I caught him before he could run any further and he's been in my apartment since. Trixie, I'm so sorry." She had a very distraught look on her face. I covered my mouth and looked around, seeing all the damage.

The TV had been smashed and was laying on the floor. The couch cushions were all ripped up and thrown around the room. All the glasses I had in my kitchen were shattered on the floor. I made my way to my room, seeing even more damage. The dresser's drawers were all ripped out and my clothes were everywhere. My jewelry box had been torn apart. All the jewelry I had that could have been worth something was taken. Every necklace and bracelet that I've gotten from my family had been taken. The bed sheets were torn off the bed and the mattress was flipped onto its side. The full length mirror was smashed and laying on the floor. All my clothes in my closet were on the floor and messy. My lamp was laying on the floor as well next to the nightstand. I got closer to it and saw a very important picture to me was smashed. The glass frame was shattered but thank god the actual picture wasn't ruined.

It was me and my mother.

Tears rushed to my eyes and Mrs. Rose came behind me, closing the door and setting Sprout down. I covered my mouth and began to cry, hugging her. She rubbed my back and I was at a complete loss, but once I picked up that picture, it never left my hands.

Hours went by of talking to people about this. Answering any questions they had. I called friends and family members, asking if I could stay anywhere until this is done. Sadly nobody said yes. Even Nicki. She still lives with her family and her house is way too small for anyone else. I dialed the number I was hesitant to call, Kevin's.

I explained everything and he said he'd be over soon to get me. Their house was big enough for a lot of people to live in, but I'm going to be the only girl. We'll just see how well this turns out.

All the cops and investigators were gone and it was just me and Sprout in this messed up apartment. They suggested I stay with someone while they figure out a plan for me to do. They said they would inform me once they have something.

I grabbed the bags I had left and packed all the clothes I had left. They only came in to smash and steal my jewelry. I had a big wad of cash in my dresser but it seems like they didn't find that, thank god.

I put all my clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry, chargers, and everything in between. I took everything I had that was in good enough condition to take to somewhere else. I packed the cat food and his bowls and his litter box and litter all in its own bag. I packed about 3 bags all together with all my things.

Kevin showed up and helped me back the rest, carrying them downstairs. I had Sprout's bag and put him in the carrier. I took one last look at the apartment I loved before closing the door and locking it. I followed Kevin downstairs to his car and we piled everything in the trunk. I put Sprout in the backseat and sat in the front with Kevin.

We got to his house pretty quick and I got my bags and Sprout. We carried them upstairs to an empty room. It was pretty big and had it's own bathroom which was nice. It already had it's own bed, dresser, walk in closet, and it's own balcony looking over the back yard. It was really nice, but we're not staying for long.

"Thanks again, Kev. I owe you one. Big time." I said, putting Sprout down on the bed. "Anytime and you don't need to. Just something nice I can do for a friend." He answered. I put the bags down on the floor and wrapped my arms around him. He did the same to me and hugged me tight. "You're the best." I whispered. I felt him smile and he rubbed my back a bit. "I try. I'm gonna hang with the guys. You can come if you want." He said, letting me go. "I might. Don't wait up."

He smiled and shut the door behind him, heading downstairs to hang out with the guys. I opened the carrier and let Sprout run around. He likes to investigate a new place wherever he goes. And plus, he should get used to this, since he's going to be staying for a while.

I let him roam around the room and unpacked everything. I put my clothes in the drawers of the dresser, being socks, pants, bra, and undies. I hung my shirts up in the closet and put my shoes on the floor under them. I saved a loose fitting and thin white t-shirt and grey sweatpants, changing into them. Through the shirt, you can see my bright pink bra which I giggled a little at. It was pretty faint but still noticeable. The sweatpants were super comfy and I stuffed my uniform onto a hanger and hung it up with the rest.

I put my bracelets down on the dresser as well as my jewelry box. I put the jewelry I had left neatly into it, putting the picture of my mom inside. So every time I opened it, I saw her. I should really get a new frame for her soon.

I put my makeup in the bathroom as well as his litter box. I put his food and water bowls onto a towel in the corner of the room and put the bags of food and litter in the closet. The room was already looking nice but I needed a break. I made sure the door was shut so Sprout didn't run out and I went out on the balcony, leaning over the railing and watching over the city from here as the sun went down.
