𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐰𝐨

I lay on the floor of my room with my hummingbird, Periwinkle, above my head looking down at me. I sighed. Ever since Aiura said that she was transferring to PK I decided that I'll go there too. I applied to go in a few months. Periwinkle tweeted and flew up and stood on my forehead, squawking at me again.

Then there was a knock on my door, I held out my finger for Periwinkle. He stood on my finger. I got up and opened my door. There was a package with an envelope I grabbed it with my hand and brought it inside. First I opened the package. It was a green and white uniform, I tilted my head. No no no, wait... I opened the envelope, reading the writing. 'Welcome to PK Academy, (Y/n) (L/n)' I filled out the form wrong!! I facepalmed, I start at a new school tomorrow. fuck... Periwinkle sat on my head humming at me.

"Don't patronize me."

The sun shined through my fairy tale room. Sliding on my black thigh highs and putting on my (F/c) bandanna under my hair and on my head, already smoke cleansed of course, patting down my green skirt. I guess that I'm going to PK Academy today. I'll tell Aiura about how I transferred early later. I left my house for the train station.

I stood in front of the classroom door. I already got my schedule from the office. The teacher wanted me to introduce myself in front of the class, so cliche. I heard my cue. The teacher told me to come in with the door close. I opened the door revealing myself. I didn't like the feeling of the students looking at me made me uncomfortable, I didn't want the unnecessary attention.

"Hello, I'm (Y/n) (L/n). A pleasure to meet you all." I said and wrote my name on the board.

"Thank you (L/n), you can sit next to in the back." The teacher says pointing to a seat in the middle far back. I nodded and took my seat next to him. The teacher starts to talk about the lesson.

I doodled on my paper instead of actually working on the assignment, I'll do it later anyway. I drew the characters I liked from anime like Kiyoko from Haikyuu, Inumaki from Jujutsu Kaisen, and Heisenberg from Resident evil eight. I could feel almost everyone's eyes on me, seriously making me uncomfortable. This was the downside of being a new transfer student. You're the center of attention which I hate. I actually started to work this time.

The class has ended and I'm out for lunch, I left quickly because the other students seemed a little too excited to meet their new transfer student. I feel shivers up my spine and to my shoulders thinking about it.

"Hey! (L/n)!" I heard from behind me. There was a white-haired kid covered in red bandages running up to me. He bumped into this table with a vase and a flower, I saw it leaning off the edge. It fell. I quickly took out my wand and pointed to it.

"Lift..." I mumbled. The vase lifted in mid-air and I placed it back on the table. Damn, I'm going to have to charge my wand later. I'll use moonlight this time. I saw that bandaged boy's eyes widened and his mouth agape. I rushed to stuff my wand back in my bag. I moved my fit in a form ready to make a run for it. Then he grabbed my wrist.

"That was some power! I'm Kaido or Jet Black Wings! You, my friend, will help me on my journey to defeat dark reunion, I will protect you!" Kaidou says putting his hand on his chest dramatically.

"huh, so your my knight in shining armor now?" I said putting my hand on my hip and smirking. His face turned red and then he put his index finger and thumb on his chin and had his elbow holding up that arm.

"That's another word for it!" Kaidou says cooly posing. I held my laugh in, this kid can't be serious. I can't tell if this is cute or cringe. I nodded and started to walk away again.

"W-Wait for me!" Kaidou stutters fast walking up to me. He stands right next to me with his hands in his pockets, well this is now awkward. shit, he knows I do witchcraft. I really wanted to keep it secret for personal reasons I don't want to be sharing because I'm uncomfortable.

"So, What's Dark reunion?" I asked tilting my head.

"How do you not know them?! You have powers like me!" Kaidou says dramatically.

"I'm not involved with their schemes," I said walking to my locker.

"Dark reunion is an evil organization that wants to steal the Black Beat, the force of darkness in my right arm." Kaidou explains posing dramatically, his whole aura changed. Now that I think about it he goes onto all this darkness and how he has this dark force but his energy is actually bright, far from negative enegry.

"Ah, I see. So I'm your partner in crime?" I said teasingly, this was stupid but I have to admit it was cute of him. His expression brighten.

"You are exactly that!" Kaidou exclaims pointing his index finger to me. I unlocked my locker and grabbed my lunch box covered in a sprout cloth. He changed his looked and had an expression that read 'oh right! I forgot!'

"I have to go to my friends now but uhm can I have your number?" Kaido asks shyly at that last bit. I nodded and grabbed my pen then wrote my phone number on his arm.

"Later Kai!" I said giving him a nickname. I could hear a slight squeal out of him and loud footsteps, I guess he ran out.

The school bell rang, it was the end of school! I grabbed my bag and wanted to see if I could meet (Y/n) at the front of the school. I stood at her locker waiting for her.

"Oh, hello Kaidou. What are you doing here?" (Y/n) asked unlocking her locker to change her shoes.

"I want to walk home together? I'll tell you about all my adventures with Dark Reunion!" I asked her posing epically.

"Sure, I don't have anything better to do." (Y/n) says and closed her locker getting everything set. She started walking ahead of me, I followed after her again. We walked together side by side. I realized I don't know which road she's taking.

"Where are you headed?" I asked looking slightly down at her, she was one centimeter shorter than me. (Y/n) grabbed her phone and held it up to me, she didn't live too far away from me. We could see each other a lot more! Walking home I told her all my cool stories of my adventures that were actually comic book story plots.

"This is my stop, see you around Kai." (Y/n) said waving to me before she leaves, she walked down a different street. I felt something different, I felt warm and I wanted to see her again.
