Ridley scanned the screens around him. Every file, every entry, every photograph he could dig up would allow him to be one step closer to getting her back. He groaned, rubbing his face in annoyance. His patience began to wear thin. Yet after hacking into a few more profiles, he finally found it.
This one code could bring her back!
He glanced to the casing next to him. A hair clip, broken into pieces, laid upon a satin pillow, it's glass cage protecting it from any further damage.
He smiled sadly. "Almost there, Mother."
He took a breath, and typed it in.

Ridley just stared at the screen, thinking he typed it in wrong. He tried again.
And again.
And again.
Nothing.
The screens began to glitch the more he tried. The main screen glitched the words,
Error!
Passcode insecure!"No... no no NO! It should've worked this time!"
After nearly an hour of trying, he bashed his fists onto the desk, heartbroken.
It's been four years since her death, and he still remembers seeing her lifeless body as if it were yesterday.
"Dammit." He mumbled, "Dammit." He gripped the table edges, his breath shaky. He looked towards the case, then looked up. On the wall hung a large painting of Mother Brain in her natural form, along with two others.
Ridley, and Kraid.
Her sons.
Tears threatened to fall as he continued to stare at the painting.
"My lord?" A guard asked, "Are you ready?" Ridley sighed, composing himself, "I'll... I'll be there in a moment." As the guard left, he wiped away the tears forming in his eyes. He shut down every screen, and took one last look at the case. He sighed, putting his clawed hand on it.
"Don't worry Mother." He whispered, "I'll get you back. No matter what it takes."
