Taehyung still remembered the night he met Yoongi. His parents had told him to wait in his room. He was ten years old, his head of pure white hair unruly on his head, black and white ears barely visible through the mess. He was sitting alone like he always did, content with his own company. His parents didn't let him out of their sight, so he was confined to their house. He didn't want for anything. They got him whatever toys, books and video games he wanted.

He was a sweet and quiet child, and adults always preened over him, saying how lovely and precious he was. Being a white tiger was apparently special, though Taehyung could not figure out why. Just because he was white and his parents were orange? Adults are weird he'd think to himself.

Taehyung was absorbed in his book when he heard a knock on his door. He knew it was his mother by her sweet and calming scent. He set his book down and said, "Come in."

His mother opened the door wide and walked into his room. She smiled down at him and said, "Tae, sweetie. There's someone I want you to meet."

Taehyung sprang to his feet, tail swinging wildly behind him with excitement. He smiled up at his mother and said, "Who is it?? Do they want to play with me?" He was bouncing on his feet and his mother was laughing at his excitement.

"Come on, my little tiger," his mother said, taking his hand to lead him downstairs. Taehyung wanted to wriggle out of her grip and run down the stairs, but he calmed himself down a bit.

I wonder who it is! he thought to himself.

He walked down the stairs hand in hand with his mother. Their were voices coming from the living room. Taehyung recognized his fathers voice, but there were two more. They were adults, that much he could tell. He was very curious now. Taking a deep breathe, he sniffed the air trying to figure out what kind of hybrids they were. They smelled similar to his parents, but not quite.

Taehyung and his mother entered the living room, and then the talking stopped. Taehyung saw his father sitting on one couch, and across from him was another couple. And a child.

It was a boy, by the scent. And he seemed to be looking right at Taehyung. Oh! He's a cat! he mused in his mind. The other boy was looking at him with very catlike eyes. His expression was carefully neutral. He seemed very serious for a kid. He had wavy brown hair that fell into his eyes, his triangle ears were tilted towards Taehyung, and his tail was swaying gently behind him.

"Ahh! There they are! Come in and say hello to our guests, Taehyung." his father said in a cheerful voice. Taehyung and his mother walked into the living room, and he could feel the other boys eyes following him. His mother sat down next to his father, and he stayed standing, looking over the other couple and the boy. They all had the same feline eyes, sharp and angular. The boys face was serious, but not unfriendly. His features were delicate, brown hair hanging in his eyes.

"Taehyung, this is Yoongi. Why don't you show him your room?"

Taehyung started jumping up and down eagerly, hair bouncing. He went and stood in front of the other boy, and said "Hi! My names Kim Taehyung! I have a PlayStation, do you want to play with me?"

The other boy, Yoongi, cocked his head to the side and looked at Taehyung. Then his serious face broke into a small smile. In a quiet voice, he said "Sure, do you have Call of Duty?" Taehyung smiled back and and said "Yes!" He then took the other boy by the hand and dragged him out the living room and up the stairs.

The two boys played together for hours. Taehyung had managed to crack Yoongi's tough exterior with his boxy smile and warm personality. Yoongi was still reserved, but he couldn't help but feel a warmth in his little chest. But Min Yoongi had a job to do. He would be Taehyung's friend, yes. But he would also be his protector. A bodyguard. Yoongi already felt a powerful urge to protect the white tiger boy at all costs. He would be there for Taehyung no matter what.
